What about us TH users? The hack was hard to find (not on toca's site anymore, I dug up a copy) and it doesn't work for the 1.1 patch, and my FOV is waaaay too low, with or without the fov toggle thing in the graphics menu.
Help?
Help?

Racer's, and my own, fix only correct the aspect-ratio. To set a higher FOV, you could edit the .ini file.
As of v1.1, it lets you unlock the horizontal FOV so the aspect-ratio is always right.

Actually... the FoV looks fine, now that I think about it, but something doesn't feel right.
I'll take screenshots tomorrow.

I wondered if anyone knows of a way of restricting the HUD to the middle screen to stop it stretching. I find it really distracting to have to turn my head almost 45 degrees to check on my health etc. It's also neigh on impossible to read text that appears on screen.

OK, I really can't get
OK, I really can't get BioShock to letterbox when I use 1600x900 on my 16:10-display, it keeps stretching it vertically.
It only letterboxes when I set my desktop-resolution to 1600x900 and then play the game.
But I use the desktop at 1680x1050, and I'm not going to switch it first every time.
So how on Earth can I get BioShock to show like this?:
As it's shown on the first page of this topic...
Because any other game letterboxes automatically, including a game like 'Rainbow Six: Vegas', which also uses the Unreal Engine.
That FOV-hack-thing doesn't seem to help. And I don't know what FOV has to do with the aspect-ratio anyway.
All I realize is that the FOV was just too close/tight and it had to be drawn back to actually see more.
But how can I fix the aspect-ratio? How can I force the 16:9-resolution of 1600x900 letterboxed into 16:9 on a 16:10-display like any other game?
It does it when the desktop is at a 16:9-resolution for this game, but it's not necessary for any other game.
Something in the game ignores or overrides the aspect-ratio and it's very annoying.
I kind of wish it would do like 'Assassin's Creed'. Which even forces letterboxing to get a 16:9-image no matter what resolution. And that game's from 2006.
Better than all this hassle with the BioShock-games concering widescreen. They make such a game but they can't get the displaying of it right??...
I mean, it didn't seem to be a big problem for 'Rainbow Six: Vegas' either, that game is also from 2006.
But no, for the critically acclaimed BioShock in 2007 it has to be a problem... Sense... I can not find it... -_-
