This method does not work for me. I don't know why.
[quote]can anyone tell me how to set this game to 1360x768?
I've tried the shortcut method, but looks like no use at all.
Thanks!

I only know of using the shortcut parameters for non-native resolutions

eg.
-xres 3840 -yres 1024

(replace with your own X and Y)

Works for me. Only it's too bad the game crops the picture. (hence the "zoomed in" effect)

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars & RA3 [edit]

Most resolutions are supported natively, but some (such as 1280x768) are not. If your preferred resolution is not supported natively, then you'll need to edit options .ini.

For C&C3, it's located here:
C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorApplication DataCommand & Conquer 3 Tiberium WarsProfiles

For the RA3 demo, it's located here:
C:Documents and SettingsApplication DataRed Alert 3 DemoProfilesDefault
(if anyone has the full version of RA3 and knows what the path for Options.ini is for that, PM me and let me know)

Edit Options.ini.
Find this line:
Resolution = xxxx xxx
And edit it to set your resolution.

Well, if i play with 1440x 1050 res there is only space for about 4 Buildings on my 20" WideSamsung TFT?? I thought I would see more on a bigger TFT with higher res?!

DOH! 1440 x 900 is for Widescreen

Just thought I would add my image of cnc3 on triple so you can see the difference.

On both of them I zoomed out all the way.

1280x1024 color
3840x1024 gray

Sorry to be an annoyance, but can anyone tell me exactly where to go in the misc.big through the BIG editor file to edit the camera height, angle, etc?

Yikes. That shot showing Triplehead "support" is horrible! (not offense to you, Special_K) When will EA learn?

It looks like this game could use the same camera tweaks I'm implementing for BFME2. If I ever pick it up I might mod the camera. Scratch that, I will mod the camera--BFME2 is orders of magnitude more fun with the enhanced FOV.

Uarepoo2, does SoftTH create the same kind of FOV adjustment as seen in Special_K's TH shot?

If you want to do a camera mod for C&C3, I will supply the copy.

Very generous of you, Ibrin. First let me finish the BFME2 mod, then we can make arrangements. I'll investigate the demo before committing to this, but I'm 99% sure the CnC camera can be corrected like BFME2.

In the mean time there's the ZoomMapMod. This replaces all the stock maps with ones where the max zoom value has been buffed.

That is interesting, thanks for the link. If he's already completed what I intend to do then my tweaks may not be necessary. Better Triplehead support might still be needed, though.

I'll download the mod and check it out later.

Care to release that as a mod for other Triplehead players? :)

I'd assume what he's got is basically the same as ZoomMapMod so it's already available as a download.
