Quake 4 Native Widescreen support?

Is this normal look of textures in this game? Ewerythign is high.

Same problem over here, I thought it was normal and was playing nicely at first. :P
Tried a few things to correct it, removing all the config files and reseting the game to 1600x1200 works fine. As soon as I add the autoexec.cfg into the mix it goes blurry.

Reinstall didnt help. Some textures looks like five years old. If i take auto tedect system, it gives me lowest settings. What is happening.
Pretty heawy game if 7800GTX is not enough :lol:
I hawe newest drivers.

I saw a Widescreen preference somewhere in the video menus in Q4, no one else has seen that, or used it?
My 2405 doesn't get here til this week.

So far i know only this solution for low textures.
Modyfide your autoexec.cfg file

seta image_downSizeLimit "512"
seta image_ignoreHighQuality "0"
seta image_downSizeBumpLimit "512"
seta image_downSizeSpecularLimit "512"
seta com_videoRam "Your gpu memory here"

I've setup everything explained here in my autoexec.cfg file, and I see it all carried over to the Q4 cfg file. But when I re-enter the game the picture seems to be at 640, despite r_mode, aspect ratio and custom settings all reading out properly in the console. I have to do a vid_restart to get everything to view properly. I would think that when entering a game there would be an automatic vid_restart. Any ideas? Thanks.

As posted above I set my autoexec.cft file and have 1920x1200 running great (At least it looks great to me).

I have played with turning v-sync on and off. I play some really good MP guys and may have to turn it way down to keep up to some of those really good players! :roll:
