HaYDeN,
First off, you're amazing, and I owe you more than a few beer. When a game is supported in FW, it's amazing (unless it's Borderlands, in which case, it's only amazing for ~14 minutes).

I do have 2 requests:
You currently support ~53 games at last count. That's awesome. However I don't have all ~53 games... I only have 7(?). I'm sure the size of code for the other games is negligible, but the screen real estate is a bit much. You already have folders, can you enable a way to utilize them so we can only display the games we have? Currently, it seems to be an all or none affair.

The second request: You've outlined a great method of allowing others to build and host repos with their own fixes. I have no idea if anyone other than you has made use of it and built their own fixes. Do you know of any? If so, could you throw them up into the first post or on the FW website to help the users?

Many thanks!

You can do what your asking by disabling "Auto Install new Plugins" and "Auto Install Plugins" - I may add another folder called Favorites and allow one to add a game to the "Favorites"

See below....

In regards to question 2:

Nobody from the community has really stepped forward yet and actually created a plugin.

Damn it you just made me 100% GTA 3!...again!!! Are you happy now?!? What's next...Vice City!?!?.......please? Seriously good work.

Nobody from the community has really stepped forward yet and actually created a plugin.

I dunno if you missed my post a while back, but I'm quite happy to step forward since I've got bags of free time at the moment (and technical competence). I just need a quick shove in the direction of some relevant reading material to get me started...or maybe you could just do a quick outline of how you start a hack.

Edit: Taking a little initiative I read up on codecaves (it makes sense although I've done taff all in assembler). I can vaguely see how you implement these with your HackTool. What I'm not really sure on is the process for starting the hack. Maybe this'd be obvious if I had the appropriate technical knowledge...I don't know. My first thought would be searching the process memory for numbers matching my resolution, but that's probably not even a moderately good idea...see my dilemma? I'm prepared to do the legwork, just need a little directing.

Awesome fix! Unfortunately today's patch (7/25) broke the HUD fix and we're back to square one. Any ideas?

Wasn't sure where to post

Post by MaxSharp »

Wasn't sure where to post this problem ---> The 'Flawless Widescreen Fixer' has been running perfectly for Skyrim, yet I've been pounding my head against the wall everytime the SKSE (Script Extender) is loaded. When SKSE is activated, all of the 'Pictures' of the items in my Inventory are huge?? I've turned down the 'Item Size Fine Adjustment' dial all the way...but all the pictures are still huge. Am I missing something or is SKSE not compatible with Flawless?

~Thank you

Hey Hayden, just wanted to report - for some reason in Borderlands I continue to get a C++ error while using your tool. Not sure while this is happening. It was occurring while playing online in a private game if that is any help. Cheers

SKSE

Post by MaxSharp »

So, here's a pic of the problem...When I run Flawless (6010x1080), SkyUI and SKSE (as Admin), I get Huge items in my inventory. If I don't run Flawless, everything is fine. If I don't run SKSE, the pics for items are the correct size, yet I get that standard error that SKSE is not loaded. Is there some type of 'Value' that can be decreased for these pictures items in your inventory?

Also, here is the SkyUI Config.cfg file that I've been tampering with to try and de-size the pics that appear in the inventory. Suggestions on what exactly to change?

Just a quickie...I can't seem

Post by Nox Deleo »

Just a quickie...I can't seem to get the San Andreas hack to show my eyefinity resolution. Running the Steam hack with the Steam version crashes when going to the display options page to change res (as you mentioned in the notes). I got hold of a V1.0.0 exe for the other hack, but it doesn't seem to give anything other than the 3 resolutions I've always been shown with this game. I've seen a screenie of you running this in eyefinity - I assume that was with the V1 exe? I'd link the exe I'm using but I assume that's against the rules here. If it's likely just a wrong exe, is there some way you could refer me to the correct one? Thanks.

The hack is designed to show the extra resolutions upon launching the game when you get the resolution chooser....

Launch delay could have something to do with the issues, I'd need to hear some more feedback to see how bigger issue it is.

I may have the wrong end of the stick here...but are you saying I'm meant to get an intermediate launcher between clicking play on Steam, and the game...or are you referring to the in game options menu? If it's the former, I'm not actually getting any sort of launcher with Steam or the other exe.

hayden, inversion is not properly centered on my 5040x1050 resolution. I dont know if u tested it on 5760x1080 resolution but i cant aim correctly and that is really annoying. If you have time left could you fix this issue??
