Re: Skyrim Multi-Monitor User Interface Fix Discussion
Hello,
I'm new to Multi Monitor gaming and like the website, I think it's really informative for people who need information about using Multiple Monitors for games. Sorry to ask a question which has probably been asked many many times
, could somebody give me details about the best way to solve eyefinity issues for Skyrim, which can be solved. I'm unsure about what to do. Currently, I'm able to get my three monitors working in portait mode at a resolution of 3600 x 1920, but have really low FPS (compared with one monitor at 1920 x 1200) and the words "Level Up" constantly on the screen. Also when using one of the fixes, opening the skills menu closes the game.
thanks a lot for all the hard work all of you do for the gaming community

OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, THANK YOU, Hayden. Seriously. A little melodramatic, but that's just how I feel after dealing with all the other corporate and general pains-in-the-arse of how things work in the world.
I just got back into this game after hearing about the new Schwarzenegger Conan movie in 2014, and they went and did this right as I get back into it. I knew wishing for a quick FWS fix was unreasonable, but it happened anyway. Thanks again.

By the way, I have replaced much of the game’s music files to be more in line with said soundtracks of our youth. If anyone would like to replace their game’s music files to match, let me know.

Have you tried disabling the fix before viewing notes? eg. use the hotkey, Control-Alt-Z ... then view the note...
I am unable view notes as everyonr else has stated it's shifted to the right. Ctrl+Alt+Z does not work for me. Tried using it before viewing the note and during, but however it seems nothing changes. I am using Steam, skyrim, both DLCs, skse 1.8.151, and Flawless Widescreen [1.0.121r4] plugin for skyrim.

Re: Skyrim Multi-Monitor User Interface Fix Discussion
I'm pretty new at this so please bear with me...
I'm trying to run Flawless Widescreen with Skryrim on Windows 7. I have
a single Radeon 7970 with 3x1920x1200 displays set up for EyeFinity as 6048x1200 bezel adjusted.
This used to work with WidescreenFixer, but I haven't played in a while and it no longer does.
I have the latest Flawless Widescreen download.
When I bring up Skyrim (from steam), it appears as 3x1 (repeated) displays in
full screen. With FlawlessWidescreen, I still get 3x1 repeated displays, but the
diamond Skyrim logo is smaller (without menus).
I feel like I must be missing something simple. It's a little hard to search 250 pages
of post, so I apologize if this has been asked before.
Thanks for any help!

EYEFINITY snowflake size fix:
All I did was cut the snowflake size by 1/3, so only works well on 3x1 displays.
INSTALL:
place DDS file in the following folder (or create if you don't have it)
../Skyrim/Data/textures/effect/
Images:
Eyefinity snowflakes (stretched)

Default snowflakes

Fixed eyefinity snowflakes

Re: Skyrim Multi-Monitor User Interface Fix Discussion
Well, Hi everyone.
Hope your all enjoying Skyrim Multi Monitor, which I was so looking forward to, but seems I am doomed to be dissapointed.
I've tried this Flawless Widescreen and the other Widescreen Fixer, all to no avail.
When I enable start up Skyrim with FWS enabled (Steam, updated to latest version of Skyrim) the side screens turn off (power saving mode flashes) and a small skyrim logo appears - no menu.
I've turned on the override in Flawless widescreen (latest version) and entered the correct values for my monitors (3 x Lenovo L2250P 1680x1050 = 5040x1050)
It plays great in single screen (but honestly cant go back to single monitor now with Fallout 3 and DDO playing multi monitor as well as they do)
I've looked and i'm unable to find any power saving features on the monitors themselves.
There's no power saving features in hardware control panel for hte monitors.
I've got the general power saving features turned off for the whole PC, everything set to performance.
System is i7, 16Gb Ram, 2x560 Ti in SLI Surround mode.
Can anyone give me any ideas on where to go next please...

Make sure you are manually changing your screen resolution in skyrimprefs.ini (located in My Docs/My Games/Skyrim/). Your looking for:

Thank you - i'll certainly check this when i get home from work.
I do remeber trying setting those weeks ago when i started this process, but perhaps they've reset or something.
(maybe i should set it to read only after i've updated it - will that affect anything?)
Re: Skyrim Multi-Monitor User Interface Fix Discussion
I have seen people recommend making the ini files read-only however I have seen instances where the steam Skyrim launcher has still over-ridden this and updated the file. Recently just opening the launcher caused my custom shadow settings to revert to Ultra settings.
There have been other instances where the FWS failed to completely alter the memory and only part of the UI was scaled correctly, usually a quick restart of Skyrim solved the issue however.

Re: Skyrim Multi-Monitor User Interface Fix Discussion
I finally got a chance to log in and thank you Daimian.
Works almost perfect now across all screens.
Flawless widescreen is fixing menus nicely and SkyUI is a godsend.
Now to figure out why FWS is not affecting the FoV - the "stretch" on side monitors is very extreme and FWS doesn't seem to do anything.
I've only loaded Unofficial Skyrim Patch, SKyUI and the high res Texture packs.
Dont want to push my luck..
Thank you again Daimian

Re: Skyrim Multi-Monitor User Interface Fix Discussion
No problem, glad it worked for you.
As for your FOV issue, you can change the FOV on the fly ingame by accessing the console (` key - just below escape) and typing in "FOV X" without quotes and replace X with your desired FOV. This will not save your FOV setting for next game launch however but can be used to then alter the .ini file if FWS is not working.
FYI don't forget my snowflake fix for multi-monitor Skyrim located on the previous page

Re: Skyrim Multi-Monitor User Interface Fix Discussion
I am hoping someone can help me solve this without having to fully uninstall and reinstall Skyrim, which is what I had to do in the past.
I have 3 30" monitors in portrait mode, for a resolution of 5106x2560 (that's with bezel correction- 4800x2560 standard). I am using NVIDIA nSurround.
When I first installed Skyrim, it would run fine on this (the menus ingame are difficult to read, but that's something to troubleshoot further down the line).
A few days ago NVIDIA lost the signal of the side monitors and I had to redo the Surround option and re-add the side monitors. It's possible that my bezel corrected resolution now differs from what I had earlier.
I restarted Skyrim and now I get this error before the game loads:
"Failed to initialize renderer.
Your display doesn't support the selection resolution. Please set a different resolution in Skyrim's launcher under Display Settings."
Thing is, there are no resolutions in the Resolution field that even come close to what I am using. I've usually just kept Resolution field blank.
Can anyone advise me how I can get this working without doing a full uninstall and reinstall. Also, I am not interested in running the game in Windowed Mode.
Thanks.

have you tried deleting the configuration file? It should automatically create a default one in which you just need to put your settings back.
Make a back-up before deleting it and see if it helps:)

Re: Skyrim Multi-Monitor User Interface Fix Discussion
Hello,
Just wanted to ask if anyone else is experiencing problems with either Flawless Widescreen or Widescreen Fixer and Skyrim 1.9. Its not that the game would crash or anything but both applications tell me that this version of Skyrim is not supported and nothing is changed ingame. Since I do not really posess any significant technical skills I would not know wether there were a simple solution for this issue or not. I am currently running 3 19" monitors in Eyefinity on 5760x1080.

I am also having this problem. I wish there was a way to not apply the patches. In steam I selected not to automatically update the game and I reinstalled(from DVD) but it still applies the latest patch.
