HaYDeN, You're quite right, the problem was being caused by SkyUI. I've disabled it and now everything is fine. Its a tough decision as the mod does improve the menu system substantially in my opinion, however if they can't get along i'll just have to live with it. Thanks for taking the time to make and maintain this plugin, its a fantastic thing.
Edit: I managed to eventually get SkyUI working with the widescreen fix. For anyone else who wants to do the same, you simply need to do the following:
Open skyui_cfg.txt found within "SteamsteamappscommonskyrimDataInterface
Find the [ItemInfo] section
Change it to the following:
itemcard.align = center
itemcard.xOffset = 0
itemcard.yOffset = 0
This worked well for me with the default SkyUI settings. If you changed anything or selected one of the widescreen aspect ratios you'll need to tweak "itemicon.xOffset = 24".
i download skyrim againt to try it, link to the steps for mouse lag fix? or are:
Step 1:
-update skyrim to version 1.1
(fixes mouse sensitivity issues in the menus)
Step 2:
-if you are not playing on gamepad, go to skyrim "gameplay" options and disable "360"
(removes a lot of input lag)
Step 3:
-go to your video driver control panel and set "frames rendered ahead" to "1"
(removes a lot of input lag)
Step 4:
-go to "Skyrim/skyrim/skyrimprefs.ini" and set "bMouseAcceleration" to "0"
(disables sluggish skyrim mouse acceleration)
Step 5:
-go to "my documents/my games/skyrim/skyrim.ini" and add "iPresentInterval=0" to the [display] section
(disables vsync, very important for all following tweaks)
Step 6:
-download "D3D_Antilag_v1.1" (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34#content) and move "D3D9.dll" and "antilag.cfg" into the game folder (where the *.exe files are located)
-open antilag.cfg with notepad and set "frames rendered ahead" to "1"
(This forces frames rendered ahead to 1 and adds a framelimiter, which is required to fix vertical sensitivity issues)
Step 7:
-open antilag.cfg with notepad and change "FPSlimit" to "50"
Step 8:
-go to "my documents/my games/skyrim/skyrimprefs.ini" and add:
[Controls]
fMouseHeadingYScale=0.0132
fMouseHeadingXScale=0.0200
(this syncs vertical and horizontal sensitivity for the FPS limit we have just set)
Step 9:
-change your skyrim video settings so that performance never drops below 40 fps
(vertical sensitivity depends on it!)
Step 10:
-mouse sensitivity fine tuning: open "my documents/my games/skyrim/skyrimprefs.ini" and set "fMouseHeadingSensitivity" to your desired value
(dont touch the sensitivity slider in the game options after doing this!)
other tweaks:
-to change fov, open console ingame and type "fov 90"
or open "skyrim.ini" and add "fDefaultFOV=90.0" to the [general] section
nvidia gtx670
matrox triplehead digital edition (3 x 1280x1024 displays)
wndows detects a single 3840x1024 display
for flawless widescreen i use manual config as follows
width 3840; height 1024; hud width 1280; hud height 1024; hmc 1; vmc 1; hud x 1280; hud y 0
in general all games work perfect
Has Steam updated beyond Flawless Widescreen version support again? I havent played in months but tried today and it appears the fix isnt working, all menus and text zoomed etc
- Steam version is 1.7.7.06 - Flawless Widescreen says version Unsupported
- Latest plugins in FW
- Running on Windows 8 RP, HD7970 @ 5940x1200
- Tried the SKYUI fix in this thead and then tried removing the Interface folder and Re-Verify game cache in steam.
PS: In FW why is the plugin called "TESV V Skyrim (Old Fix)" ?
Has there been a fix for this yet? I am currently using FWS and am constantly plagued with this. Used WSF and that works but then i get glitched UI were compass and health bars are moved to other monitor whenever i come out of the map. Please any help would be appreciated. Thank You

There are 2 instances of the FW plugin for Skyrim. One is the "TESV V Skyrim (Old Fix)" and the other newer one is just called "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim." Assuming you're updating the game (or more accurately, Steam is updating the game with or without consent), you should be using the latter fix.

Lol thanks and there in is my fix! With Flawless Widescreen "out of the box" it enables both fixes. Disabling the old one and just leaving the "other" one enabled, Im getting UI scaling fixes etc, looks fine!
Why does it try apply both fixes at the same time!?
Im using HaYDeNs Flawless widescreen and am having the same problem as post number 2905 where the text in notes/letters overhangs the right of the note.
The text size looks too big to fit even if the text started on the left hand edge.
Books work fine and the status window correctly detects i am running 3x1 monitors for 3840x1024.
Only other problem i have encountered is after the first in game loading screen each subsequent loading screen is a grey background with the smoke effect overlaid.
I'm Running a gtx 670.
Tried the alternate program and it squished some menus and stuff so just ended up using flawless widescreen. Any way i can reduce the text size for notes?
I am having this same issue.. the Steam version has updated to a version WS fixer doesn't recognize.. so no more skyrim for me for a while I guess.
I can't believe Bethesda hasn't just implemented native support for multi monitor at this point. frustrates the heck out of me.

So Skyrim got updated again? bah:)) Didn't know that:) I will look into it and update the plugin for widescreen fixer.
Best Regards,
Helifax
Edit: HMM I see the plugin in Widescreen fixer is working properly. I think you were referring to Flawless Widescreen.
This line caught me off balance:))

Yep, I'm right there with you. It worked yesterday, now today it doesn't. When I look at the properties of TESV.exe I see version 1.8.151.0. Sigh. I hope HaYDeN's not too busy right now.
