Hi everybody, im new here and I have a f*cking problem with far cry 2 resolution, I have an acer 21.5 inch 1920x1080 set desktop and the game, but a part of the right and down of the screen are hide, I have try everything but nothing work to fit full screen correct display to my screen... this problem dont happen in DX 9 only in DX 10. When im doing alt+enter thats set the resolution to 1920x780, and other thing the FOV hack 4.0 do not more long work, this worked 2 day and now(why) no more... someone can help with this?
Did you patch the game? If so... the hack probably doesn't work as intended anymore... also they fixed most of their widescreen + triplehead problems in the patch so you shouldn't have to use the FOV hack anymore?
yes i have patched to 1.2 right when i haved install the game, but fov hack worked yesterday and now no more, and I have this problem with 1920x1080 resolution in dx10 didnt fit right my screen...
looks like that (cannot take in game screen dont know why...)
aaaawww i have finally solve my problem, that was caused by the PPP desktop 120% sized for the police on windows lol, thats making picture 120% bigger lol
Hi Friends,
Thanks for the sharing links.I see the picture of this game.I like the playing the game.but i have no good graphic card so I can't play this great game..I consider for buying new GC and new LCD..I see the visuals I wish I have same wide screen LCD..
Such a wonderful game far cry is I was impress with this game a lots, all the character are make very nice it's looks like original I am enjoying to play this game a lots. I have some difficulty how to use some controls in this game. Other wise it's graphics are amazing.
I am left with the distinct impression (particularly given the similarities in the signatures) that we have some "quiet" spammers...
both made strange posts if you ask me
If I was in charge around here I would probably move or delete such post (or even the users) since it makes no sense. Just my opinion though.
my problem was DX10 mode doesn't like ultra wide resolutions. Have to run in DX9 all sorted thanks. A little bit annoying as DX10 mode has better performance than DX9 in this game.

Im running FC2 DX10 at 5040x1050 (full screen), with the latest nvidia driver 191.07, and yes the performance is really better.

Nvidia must have sorted it at the driver level. When patch 1.02 was first released with widescreen support it was stated that ultra wide resolutions were not supported in DX10. So it seems that is now only limited to Ati cards :(

No, ATI can run 5040x1050 on DX10 too, i think after Catalyst 9.7.
Thanks your post it made me try again. I am running an eyefinity setup with Cat 9.10 drivers. The issue I have is that when DX10 mode is selected the 5760 x 1200 resolution does not show up. In DX10 mode I can get into the game at 5760 x 1200 via config file edit but in the options that resolution isn't there. So when I checked widescreen and hit apply the setup messed up as it was also trying to apply the resolution highlighted in the options (by default it was 640 x 480 for me).
Solved the issue by already being in DX9 mode (which allowed 5760 x 1200 ot appear) with widescreen checked. All I did is change it to DX10 and apply. 5760 x 1200 still doesn't show up in the options but I am running in DX10 now at 5760 x 1200 and widescreen is applied.
Well this stinks, the DLC only works with 1.2 or greater but 1.2 breaks the RacerS FOV hack. Any work around to get the FOV set in 1.2 or 1.3 versions?
v1.2 adds Hor+ in widescreen, so the hack isn't needed anymore. The DR is based on v1.2 + the Fortune Pack.
If you really wish to use a custom FOV in v1.2+ though, I'm afraid you're screwed.
