I actually did further testing to see what exactly causes a kick. There's really no hope. :(

Just a quickie, why doesnt the ingame 16:9 ( or auto ) settings work correctly for the 3840x1024 resolution, like they would in CSS or DODS ?
Why offer the resolutions if they're not going to work and be all skew ?

Because a 16:9 aspect ratio on a 15:4 setup would look TERRIBLE. In source its actually a bug. Valve didn't really consider non-standard resolutions so the TH2GO resolutions just end up in the 16:9 category.

But in CS:S the middle screen looks the same as when in single screen mode, with the outer monitors skew, where as in COD all screens are squashed .
If you run it on a HD tv would it look correct or still squashed?

First off, the skewing you are referring to on the side monitors in CSS is not because of the aspect ratio, its a result of the fisheye effect which is present even on a single monitor.

Secondly, the source engine displays the image by assuming that the resolution you are running is a native resolution and then calculates the aspect ratio with the pixels. COD4 basically has a function that lets you override the aspect ratio just in case you were running a non-native resolution (ie. 800x600 on a widescreen) this allows you to get the proper image without strectching but at a lower resolution so you can get better frames. But having this option of setting your aspect ratio limits you to the standard aspect ratios only in this case (4:3, 5:4, 16:9, 16:10) whereas in the Source engine non-standard aspect ratios are easily implemented because it is calculated by resolution.
It would look fine on an HDTV as long as you select the proper aspect ratio in COD4, probably 16:9.

I released v1.45.1

The only change is to fix HUD centering with Call of Duty 4 when using 3 x 16:10. :)

1.45.1 comes with a text file called Hotkeys.txt that contains a decent size list.
