Hi all,

Hayden has had an unexpected high load at work recently and is working hard on getting a fix out for you. He hasn't forgotten about this and is spending every spare minute he gets on it. Hopefully he'll have something released very soon.

Thanks to Helifax for your hard work trying to keep people gaming in the meantime.

Totally understood, thanks for the update Aussie. Hopefully work will slow down for him and in the meantime we have Helifax to save us! :)

I changed the resolution to the recommended of 3240 x 1920 in the Skyrimpref file...put the x3 in Portrait mode, yet the game tries to launch, yet crashes to desktop? What am I doing wrong?

Me too. I still pledge $50.

So far we have 2 for $50 and 1 for $20. Who's next, ready to pledge a donation for hayden's work and fix?

Thanks for the update Aussie!

I have hacked my game and files so much I'm surprised mine still even works. I'm probably headed for a full re-install before I'm done messing with everything. I kind of have a hybrid fix to all my skyrim problems.

I will continue to donate for fixes. I do wish Bethesda would support triple screen but we all know that isn't going to happen anytime soon. I very much appreciate HaYDeN and Helifax's solutions but these guys need to do what's important in their own lives first before focusing their extra time on fixes for us.

BTW, HaYDeN if you need a tester again let me know. I've been testing a lot lately and don't mind doing a little more.

I've been following this page for a while as an outsider, and have been patiently awaiting Hayden's fix. I understand personal issues, so I appreciate the time he does put into his work. I just joined to say that Ill also pledge $20 for Hayden. His original fix seems flawless, so I'm imagining that anything he has in the works now would be even better, so it's well worth an investment. I would pledge more, but I'm broke. :)

Post by Travanix »

So I have been patiently awaiting Haydens fix, and in the meantime i have been using Halifax's plugin. The menu's are fixed, however there seems to be two main issues i am hitting... 1) about 80% of the time skyrim resets back to single monitor mode, even before establishing the quick fix.... and 2) my in-game map is all kinds of catty-whompus....Is this something I am doing wrong or ??? I don't have much time to devote looking into issues, i am currently a forward deployed Marine Corps officer in Okinawa Japan and work has consumed me almost completely to the point that i am, unfortunately, unable to do as detailed of a reserach as i would like to.... my computer settings are as follows:

Pentium i7 3.3 ghz (overclocked to 4.2)
dual ATI 6990's with 12.1 patch installed
12 gigs ram (DDR3)
3x 300g SSD hard drives
1 1.5 terabyte hard drive
1500 watt power supply...

any feedback would be greatly appreciated... also i have pledged $25 to Hayden

Hi!1. Set the configuration

Post by helifax »

Hi!

1. Set the configuration of the game for 3x screens.
2. Put the Skyrimprefs.ini file as read-only (the game tries during game to rewrite this file)
3. Use the plugin and activate the fix.
4. Toggle between the fix for reading books and viewing the map.

That should work:) Let me know if you solved the problem.

Best Regards,
Helifax

I had big problems with helifax' patch at first. I always activated it after having pressed "continue" from the main screen to load the last save game. UI was very messed up this way. The trick was to activate it right after having started the game before loading any save game. This way it works almost perfectly for me.

Hi:) I said in the above post I think:) Apparently the game modifies the SkyrimPrefs.ini file. So its better to put it on Read-Only after you setup your game via the games tool. Than you can use the fix and there will not be any problem anymore.

Best Regards.

API 2.0 probelm Helifax fix

Post by apomerans »

helifax, I tried fix from official page and I get error about 2.0 API vs 2.1 API. I'm sure that was resolved somewhere here but with 230 pages of this forum I cant quite find it.

Using latest Skyrim version from 2/28/12
Got latest WSF from main "WSGF Skyrim fix page"
Got plugin from link on same page
Installed required .NET 4 and x64 framework.

WSF fails on API... what am I missing?

Help much appreciated

Thank you for this update...I've been pain stakingly going through the 200+ pages of data on this thread and it's surprising how much you learn on the creation of the Helifax & Hayden fixes. It's almost like watching the birth of a new baby...which is actually a bit disturbing. :)

Though there are detailed instructions posted (on these fixes), it still is a bit confusing. Thank you, though!

Hi!

Plugin for Dopefish famous Widescreen Fixer r312 - 2012 February 10, 20:13:48 EST !!!!!
Simply download this plugin, put it in the "Plugins" folder, start the game and activate the fix!!!

You need to use that build (r312) . The fix is not updated for the latest patch ( from 28.02). I will update it during the weekend if I have time.
