Dear Hayden,

Would you please consider releasing your source. I, and many others are willing to PAY you and (while I can't speak for everyone.. I sure as hell will) give you full credit for your hard work. Just name your price... Hell, give me a skin contract and a blood quill and you can even have my soul, on top of the paypal funds ;p Just name your price and we'll make it happen!

side note:
anyone know what happened with Bf3? Not sure if it was the new nvidia drivers or a patch they did, but now I can't get surround in that either... I'm starting to feel like I wasted money buying a surround setup :(

Hey everyone.

I was trying to use the SkyrimUWv0.91. Works fine unless the TESV.exe is renamed. I'm not sure if this was mentioned before but if you rename your 'TESV.exe' to 'fallout3' (do not add .exe [If you have issues, add the .exe]), you'll gain a significant amount of FPS (Depending on your PC specs of course). I ran SkyrimUW and it works with 'TESV.exe' but not 'fallout3.exe'. It would be nice to use SkyrimUW without the major framerate drop so is it possible for you guys to add this?

Are you perhaps using an older driver that doesn't have a profile for Skyrim but does have one for fallout3?

Nooooooooooooo! Stealth update! Went right through my "Do Not Update This Game"... :( Fix broken again.

New version: 1.4.27.0.4 (apparently they applied the beta patch to the mainline today?)

Confirmation: Bethsoft

whats the point in even trying to fix this game? it gets patched before a fix is even ready. all the ppl that download this illegally don't have to put up with this steam auto-update shit. I fucking hate this. The ones that pay for it get screwed

So angry. I wanted to play this. If it wasn't for your fix, Helifax, I would have never bought it and thank you. Bethesida's sales for 3 screen users are completely dependent on helifax's fixes wow. The game is useless without him he should get half the profit from all the 3 screen user purchases

Using the latest ATI drivers and CAP.

I am definitely interested, been using your patch now for quite some time for WideScreenFixer. Hopefully we'll be back to having both you and HaYDeN's fixes back up and running soon.
Also, for anyone running mods, they updated the load order logic/code for steam workshop, etc to new encoding... so if you need to re-order mods you have to do it from the launcher now until the utilities such as NMM, BOSS, MO, etc get updated to the new encoding/system.

Here is a focal point for this: Mod Ordering Threads

This is how you can run the game until a proper fix is made. It allows you to use a previous version from system restore folder on vista and 7 systems

This is not a hack or cheat.
Just make sure to back up or save your TESV 1.4.27 somewhere safe so you can come back to it once a proper widescreen fix is available. Then copy the old TESV file you find and paste it into C:/program files/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim

Ages ago I went 3 x P and it works fine, no hacks are needed. I know a lot of people prefer 3 x L but if you are dying to play it is an option.

I kind of like 3 x P now, sitting about 50cm from the screens Skyrim becomes my whole world :)

That's a great idea! I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier. As soon as I read your post, I tried it out. Sadly the game crashes. It doesn't like my 3 Dell 2208 in portrait mode. I tried with and without bezel correction to no avail. So, I'm just sitting tight, waiting on hayden to release the fix so I can play at 5270 x 1050 with the menu fixed.

Come on hayden! I'm just one of hundreds or maybe thousands of people ready to send you a donation. We need your fix!

:)

People! Post what you are willing to pledge to hayden for his fix. Let him know how much this means to us.

I pledge $50 to hayden for the release of his working fix. Who's with me? Post any amount that you are willing to give him. This guy could make a ton of money...and he deserves it!
