Do I need to do anything specific with the perfs.ini?
I leave the Widescreen Fixer on auto-detect (nVidia), 1 monitor 5040x1050 and go...
Not sure what else I need to do to get the menus to scale correctly.



Wait!!! Does the auto detection sees 1 monitor ?? If so try to disable auto-detection and put the values by hand.
So 3 monitors and your resolution. Also be sure to manually insert the values in all the edit boxes, even if they are already written.

yeah, the TH2Go is technically seen as one monitor in the OS's mind but in powerdesk it sees it as three. However eyefinity has the OS recognize that there is three but tells it to render it in one giant image. If it helps with anything in Bman's situation.

You are correct zezgamer - OS = 1 monitor, powerdesk knows there are 3. I am not really sure how this plays into the mix but it must as the fixer couldn't be more straight forward.


UPDATE: Ok, setting to Display Count: 3 and manually setting the resolutions seems to have worked. The front menu is squished if I activate WF on that page but everything else is correct. The hotkey to toggle just moved everything to the left screen. Otherwise, it just stays in the middle screen.

Now... for some sort of mouse scaling. It's slow to the left / right.

UPDATE 2 : Not everything is correct I guess. For example, the indicators of objects say like a chest are 1/3 size on the screen if the WF is active. If I deactivate the WF the text for comments on the screen are correct size but once you open the chest everything is x3 size again.

Is this the correct function so far.. on screen notifications are small? I guess I could toggle like mad or just list with the small 1/3 size on screen notifications.

I said it on a few pages ago.... enable the fix BEFORE you reach the Main menu;)) Then everything will look nice except for the text during loading screen which are squished;)) If you want to read them just toggle the fix:)

The map & books need to toggle also. Everything else works without issues;)) Let me know if this solved your problem;))

Yes - I have done that many times (in all combinations) to enable before main menu. That's where I started from since it noted to do so in the instructions.
This yields a 100% blank screen (with intro music).

Convinced this is relating to matrox treating game as 3 screens and OS as 1.
Thanks for trying though I appreciate the help for sure. I can't stomach going to single screen after 5 years of 3x. It's just not the same. :)

It should be noted: When I go look at the perfs.ini these settings a listed.

bFull Screen=1
iSize H=1050
iSize W=0

Before I start the the game at all, I set it to 1050 / 5040.
WF is set to (1) screen and both corrected / uncorrected are set a 1050 / 5040


SO - I went ahead and set the perf.ini to 5040/1050 and set the .ini to 'read only'
Went back to the WF settings and set "3" monitors and 5040/1050. Low and behold, everything is working now!
I new there had to be some combination that would do it. For whatever reason the perfs.ini was reloading to a 0 value and I think that was causing all the conflict.

Hey Helifax, I am having a little trouble with your fix. Like a few others have stated it will modify the ini file, mine will change to 1920 from 5760 when I exit the game, what I did to resolve this was make the ini file read only, but aside from that no other problems.

Interestingly enough, the map is still working just right without de-activating. Books, yes, highlight book, swap activation it it's golden

I also had the black screen issue and resolved it by selecting 3 screens under the gear icon in widescreen fixer.

Has anyone been able to get SkyUI to work correctly with Helifax's fix? I'm launching through skse and it simply doesn't load SkyUI when in eyefinity (works fine on a single screen). I've got the mod installed via. Steam. I'm going to uninstall it and try through Nexus Mod Manager, as I saw that SkyUI has some triple screen configurable options listed when installed through there.

Hey sniper, I use SkyUI with Helifax's fix on an eyefinity setup and it works no problem.
I did use NMM to install it and selected the 48/9 aspect ratio (while I actually have 48/10 but whatever :p) and it seems to do the trick.
The only annoyance, and I don't know if this is due to SkyUI or Helifaxes fix, but when you are in your inventory (or indeed any item related menu), the item you are hovering over is supposed to appear on the right hand side of the screen above the stats box... Well, in my case, it always appears right in the middle of the item list which makes it a bitch to find something :D Only solution I have is use the widescreenfixer key (while you have the inventory open), this will make the inventory move to your most left screen instead of the middle one and it will appear without issues.

The biggest flaw with my work around is when it gives you a certain pop up, like for instance the vender doesnt have enough cash, you are screwed. Because that popup will appear on the middle screen and you cant get your mouse there. Tab or esc don't do anything so the only option I found was exit the game completely... This can be quite annoying if you haven't saved for a while.

So think ahead :D

Oh that's what happened! Was wondering all day where this thread went, everyone's links to it broke because of the name/subforum change and I eventually just searched the site looking for any other skyrim threads to figure out what'd happened. Btw pretty sure I'm not the only one that'd been left somewhat confused as to why the thread's old link is now returning an error. Perhaps make a skeleton thread of the same name back in the original spot with a link to this one?

Yeah, I think that would be a good idea. I've been following this thread since Skyrim's release only to come home from work today and be confused thinking the thread was deleted.

Hopefully Thales has alerted Hayden to the threads new location. It is a bit tricky to find without a redirect from its old location.

@Hellifax, dude I can't get your fix to work at all very well, I'm running eyefinity at 5040(5292 bez com) and the centre screen blurs out when I bring up the inventory but no inventory can be seen, the inventory is there, I can blindly scroll thru it and select random things, just can't see it. Auto detection certainly doesn't work, what manual entries should I be sticking in there for 5292 x 1050(base 5040). Auto seems to put in 5292x1050 in both corrected and uncorrected fields.

If I press the enable hotfix key repeatedly, the UI occasionally appears on the wrong screen or really compressed or disappears again.

HaYDeN should release the new version very soon, im out of home for two days so i cant use steam to talk with him, but on monday he told me the new version of his fix was 60% finished, please keep checking WSGF, as soon as we have something new we will post here and also of course update game's Detailed Report. :onethumb
