Thanks for the support guys.

I'm really having a hard time trying to get Helifax's solution to work.

Do I load the game to the menu where I'm ready load a saved game and then run the Cheat program?

If so, I'm still getting three seperate screens but with no visible menu, also when pressing 0 (non keypad) I only see half of a stretched menu.

I was using HaYDeN's solution before the patch (sorry Helifax, his is much easier to use) but I can't find the updated version. From what I see WSGF is only linking version 0.91, or is that contain the for Skyrim 1.4?

Cheers

No disrespect intended, but why can't the source to this be opened up and go on Github? I mean, if you are busy, I'm sure someone (myself included, although I can get buys too) would be glad to take the baton and run the next leg of the relay... till Bethesda updates again...

If you find it to complicated

Post by helifax »

If you find it to complicated or are having trouble with the CT table I provided I can make export it to WideScreen Fixer. That way it will be easier for everyone to use it:)
Ofc you will still need to use the toggles :) If not...

Help with Skyrim menu in eyefinity

Post by Irishlad200000 »

Hi guys!

I'm a 6970 xfire eyefinity 3x1L junkie!

How the hell can we fix the menus, as the new patch has rendered Hayden's great fix unusable!

Is the man himself creating a new one?

Any help appreciated!

Hey Gary, welcome to WSGF, please check the game's Detailed Report, under Eyefinity / Surround Specific Solution. HaYDeN's fix doesnt support v1.4, he is working on a new version of his hack that will support it, and helifax's solution supports v 1.4 ok ?

Hey Helifax,

If you could export it to widescreen fixer and create a template that would be awesome. I've also had trouble getting your cheat table to work. I don't mind the the toggling back and forth either. Right now Im using a backup version of 1.3 exe but it would be great to use 1.4 because I've heard of alot of performance/bug fixes

I appreciate your hardwork and quick responses.

Helifax's solution is easy to use

Post by Coolboy1403 »

Helifax's solution is easy to use, just read this and you'll be ok. Still, something is missing. When the game is running, press alt+tab and then open the CT.

Then select the game process and click «Open».

Return to the game and the main menu should look like this :

Or like this :

This is working for me.

Thanks for the post Coolboy1403. I still can't get it to work.

There must be a step I'm missing or not getting right.

In step 4. Select "YES" to load the script.

I'm not getting asked to click YES / NO, it just loads is that normal?

Also after selecting and opening TESV.exe via the Cheat Engine the label "Found: 0" still says ... 0, is that normal?

New Plugin for WideScreen Fixer!!!! For Skyrim!

Post by helifax »

Hello all,

No more worries!!!!!!

I made a plugin for Dopefish famous WideScreen Fixer !!!!!
Simply download this plugin, put it in the "Plugins" folder, start the game and activate the fix!!!

Places where you will want to deactivate the fix are:
- Loading screen (if you want to read the text :P )
- Before reading a book.
- Before entering the map.

Important!!!
For those who are using nVidia Surround the plugin will automatically detect the resolution of your screen (from Windows) and will center the hud based on that. So if you play at other resolution than your Desktop either change to the game resolution or set it up manually!

If you have any problems just let me know! If you are new to WidescreenFixer check the official page:)

Big thanks again dopefish for providing the source code that I needed and info!! and for letting me to add more material to your already awesome tool!!

So Happy Dragon Killing again!!!

Ps: It currently support only 1.4 but in the future I will add support for the legacy version 1.3.10.

Best Regards,
Helifax

Do you have the good version ?

Post by Coolboy1403 »

CoderX71, do you got the good version? In step 2, the file to download is an older version so you can forget it. You need to download TESV_1.4_Final (NON BETA) file instead.

When you start this version it should show you this :

Just click «Yes to All».
After that do what I posted last time, return to the game and this should be working. I can't help anymore if it still not working.
No need to worry about ''Found: 0''

Hey Heli, luckily your original fix is working well for me because I'm having trouble with the dopefish plugin. LOL

It's all working like it should, (I see game/fix running when I tab out and single mon rez is right), but when I activate the WSF key, my hud entirely disappears! haha, and if I open items menu or anything, it just freezes, showing nothing until I come out of the menu. When I hit the key to disable WSF the hud comes back. Don't know if anyone else is seeing this or has any ideas. Not stressing because your original way is working fine. :)

And for those seeming to be having trouble with the CT way, you don't really need to open cheat engine at all. Put the table (TESV_1.4_Final.CT) on your desktop. When you tab out of Skyrim, just double click that file, say yes to running lula, and then tab back into Skyrim (usually 2x). Been working here, anyway. :)

Good hunting. :)

widescreen fix

Post by tonycubed2 »

Using Nvidia surround at 5760 by 1080 the new fix using the widescreen plugin works even better!!! The HUD is centrered a lot better and skyrimui 2.1 looks perfect. I can deal with the extra steps to read a book and the map, I chose shift A as the hot key to toggle on and off. Donated to the guy $5.00 . The guy whomakes teh script dragon just updated it to the new version as well (another 5.00 ). Worth mroe than I can give, thank you guys and thank you Helifax!!!

If Using skyrimui 2.1 the same ini tweaks in the skyrimui ini file work for thsi fix. So if you at itmes and the picture of the object is too far in nay direction, you can adjust it there as well as the size. Took me about 30 minutes to get mine perfect.

Is Hayden ok though? I envy where he lives, New Zealand looks gorgeous in every movie or show made there (Xena, Hercules, Lord of the Rings, upcoming The Hobbit, many others).

I am happy to report back

Post by super12 »

I am happy to report back that the widescreen plugin doesnt work for me, and it screwed up my screen settings...

the first time i ran it, games displayed fine over 3 monitors.. but menu and item displays just like how it is without the fix... then i hit the hot key to activate the fix, text and hud will squeeze in center screen, the game play resolution remain...

quit the game and ran it again... this time the game only shows on center monitor...

i should have no better... old dog + new trick = bad idea... sigh

if i want to roll back to 1.3 what do i have to do?
