Hi,If you have any problems

Post by helifax »

Hi,

If you have any problems with the fix, try to run the game 1st, alt+tab run the table, select "Yes to all" Alt+tab to game (Alt+tab twice to return to game) and it should work:)

Best Regards,
Helifax

Helifax, I just tried it.

Post by Pokletu »

Helifax,

I just tried it. It was challenging, because I was lazy-brained in following directions; I discover.

YOU DID IT, MAN!!

I couldn't play the game before 1.4 Skyrim. Hayden's patch was broken by it.

Thank you so much, man! For the first time, I'm able to play my character past level 5!

If you didn't know, we hold you, Hayden, and Dopefish in very high regard.

Like the previous poster: I'll ask for your PayPal, sir!

Helifax, I really do

Post by peanut »

Helifax, I really do appreciate your hard work - but HaYDeN's method was much better for me personally.

I am running a bezel-corrected res of 6030x1080 - i've follow your directions correctly: replacing 5230 with 6030 and 1743 with 2010 - but there are lots of issues.

The main screen image is still stretched. The map is stretched across three of my screens and the mouse cursor only works inside my left-most monitor.

The cursor part happens

Post by helifax »

The cursor part happens sometimes...It was also in Haydens fix:) As for the rest.. try to lunch the Table after the game and see if your experience improves:)
Also read the Detailed Report..some keys are needed to be pressed for books and map:)

I am not saying it is better than his fix:) I am just saying that it exists (this is my implementation and what I managed to fix). If you don't like it...wait for his fix:D which is better than this one;))

Best Regards,
Helifax

Bah, no good with the SkyUI

Post by Lev_Astov »

Bah, no good with the SkyUI mod. I don't know what they mean by "support for exotic resolutions" because 2048x768 sure doesn't work still. I'd use Helifax's fix like I have in the past, but it just takes a ton of tweaking to get working right on my two screen setup, since it's designed for three screens. I'll just stick with BF3 until Hayden gets around to it.

Thank you so much for your quick, hard work. (These couple of days have been an eternity). :)

I too would gladly buy you a burger.

1. I was also using Hayden's fix since starting to play Skyrim, but the Ninja update knocked me out as well. However, I would not be able to play right now if it weren't for YOU and your effort. We all owe you a great deal of gratitude.

2. I don't think any other posters mean to appear as ungrateful as they might be taken. Please don't sweat it. Sure, nothing's perfect, but let's not too harshly criticize the main game in town right now--and it works pretty well. :)

Guys like Hayden, Helifax, Alexander Blade, etc., don't owe us a thing, fellas. We're lucky they love the same game and solve some of our our problems for us. :)

Oh yeah, and did I say "thank you?" *ggg*

Hello all,

I have updated my fix for Skyrim. Now supports the official version 1.4.21 that was released public on Steam (not the Beta versions). I maintained the same safe code like before, which means that the game will not CTD if you use the fix. All the information+download link are in the Detailed Report!. However if you have problems with this fix, please don't hesitate to let me know;))

Best Regards,
Helifax

PS: Enjoy again the latest version of Skyrim in Surround/Eyefinity :D

Truly I am lost in attempting

Post by Ristogod »

Truly I am lost in attempting to get Helifax's solution to work.

I downloaded some app called CheatEngine (the name doesn't really make me feel very warm and fuzzy inside). I installed that.

It asked me to do some tutorial. I started showing me some confusing windows. I closed out of it and it called me a Loser???

Next I downloaded CT table for 1.4.21.0.4 (NON BETA) and extracted the TESV_1.4_Final.CT to my desktop.

I opened up the file using Notepadd++ and changed all the 5230 to 6048 and 1743 to 1920.

I then started the game and ALT+Tab out of the game.

I double clicked the CT file and watched the cheat engine tell me something, I don't know.

I then ALT+TAB back into the game and everything is all squished into the middle and I can't seem to click on any of the menu stuff with the mouse and get it to register.

So what did I do wrong?

try this, Ristogod

Post by tonycubed2 »

Instead of double clicking open the file with the cheat program. It will do the rest by itself, and a pop up windows will show with the hotkeys to use in game. It is active at that point, do not close the window. Depending on whwat menu you are in or if yo are reading a book you switch modes with the hot keys. Works good enough to play the game.
