That said, MS did pay 50-freaking-million dollars.
I guess 50/50
My guess is not that they payed for 360 exclusivity but rather just to keep it away from sony. I wouldn't be surprised if they were free to release the content on PC after they are all done releasing it on the 360 if they wanted to.
Given that sales on the PC gets Microsoft nothing... I doubt it'll be out on the PC any time soon. It might come in a year or two, like Mass Effect... but MS seem quite happy to catch PC Gaming in the crossfire of their console war with Sony and Nintendo.
I've just got the double pack on the 360 now I've got one again, and am playing through The Lost and the Damned first, but TBoGT looks pretty good. Finally putting the fun back into it which is what everyone wanted from the start! :onethumb
I'll pick up any new GTA game when it drops in price a lot. I was very underwhelmed by GTA4. Still think the high-point of the series was Vice City. Or GTA1.

really ? as for myself I enjoyed GTA4 a lot, moreso when I bought my GTX285 which allowed me to pump gfx settings to near max
however I'd like more power (probably processing)... since 100% cars is a bit too slow when fighting. Still, the sheer sensation of being in a real town with a lot of traffic jam is pure awesomeness in my opinion
would also like to have AA but I fear that AA4x + all max gfx settings will need a computer that's still not out on the market to run decently :?
Didn't play 4 on the PC (didn't want the forced GfWL/R*SC/Activation) so my experience of it was on the PS3. It was OK, but it didn't hold my attention. At all. :)
each of those can be unofficially disabled and apart from activation (which brings nothing except to pirates) disabling the others actually improves performance by removing some CPU load
Also forgot to say my preferred GTA was probably GTA3
And to think, just the other day i was considering buying teh DLC's for the x360 (which i do not own, myself) just so could could play the damned things at least once.
That, and i just started a second playthrough on GTAIV Going to try for 100% this time.
that is seriously good news; bought gta4 (ps3) recently in the uk (thanks to the weak pound) for like nothing at all (15€ inc. shipping); now i can also play the dlcs - really wanted those
[quote]Hm.... so it seems we were not told when we all purchased this game that there is a 15 limit GFWL activation limit that is non-revokeable...
Wicked. :x
Well I hadn't heard of that either. Another reason I'm glad I passed on the game. Expiration dates on digital products =
It's only on the games for windows side of it, and MS is pretty easy to get more activations from. Do you also not use Windows? Windows has the same deal, if not more strict.
Glad to see the expansions coming, I can't wait to play them!

I do use Windows, and the imposed product limitations on it by Microsoft I find just as irritating as limited game activations.
But in it's 15+ year existance have you ever had a problem activating Windows? I haven't.
There comes a point where complaining about DRM hurts you more than anyone else. Not playing amazing games is one example. Besides, the Liveless mod removes this concern anyway.
