One of the guys in my COD4 Clan is running a TH2GO Digital with an ATI card (4850 Saphire) and isn't kicked from our COD4 server (Punkbuster).

Anyone else able to try COD4 and confirm?
This is all i was waiting for to purchase if that's the case.

Wouldn't this be a server side Punkbuster setting.

Ask your server admin to turn off the widescreen detection perhaps.

Just a thought.

For single-player, using the v1.2 - v1.5 option will allow you to play single-player in v1.7.

I've added support for v1.7 multi-player in an unreleased version (I've sent it off to Paddy for testing prior to release). There is still no word or progress on PB support. I don't think it's going to happen with this game. So, as always, use at your own risk on PB servers.

I'll make another post once it's been released.

See this post for an explanation on delays.

If you need a second tester I'd help. I feel like im missing out on something without my other 2 monitors running. :(

Edit: Sketcher
1. Is his running like it should? (non stretched screen)
2. Is he using the fixer made by dope? (if so, what etting does he have it set at to work with 1.7?)
3. Is he running xp pro/64/vista?

It's a good thing I had him test it. It looks like, starting with v1.7, the Steam and retail versions of the single-player game are different. Since I have the Steam version, I had tested it with that and it worked with the v1.2-v1.5 options. However, Paddy tested it and it did not work. I had him send me his iw3sp.exe file and I tested with that and it was indeed different.

I've sent (hopefully) the final version to help for testing, and then I'll be releasing it.

Sweet! Just in time for my triplehead performance comparison video! You're the man Dopefish!

ADD
If the singleplayer .exe is different does that mean we get performance tweaks for the singleplayer campaign?

I doubt it. I don't know what they did different between the Steam and Retail versions, but I don't think they increased the performance or anything.

I released it.

Let me know if it works or not. There's two options for single-player.

Yeah, the Steam one will probably kick you, too. ;) I think IW is pretty set on not allowing this. I could probably drop triple-head support from multiplayer and _maybe_ get it allowed, but I wouldn't know for certain unless I contacted them and asked.

Please ... don't drop triple-head support from multiplayer ... when I do play MP (which is not often) I play with friends and we don't need Punkbuster turned on.
