Holy crap. I love so many things about this setup. I think my favorite touch is the black between each display.

Hello everyone
I just registered to say how awesome this looks. I just purchased a Sapphire Radeon 5870 2GB Eyefinity and am looking into getting 6 Dell P2210H monitors.
Does taking off the bezel prevent you from mounting it on something like this:

Thanks

It depends on the monitor. The LG's from
this thread seem to have the VESA mounting holes on the metal case.
My Samsungs have them on the plastic only, so if I would have removed the plastic completeley, I would need a custom stadn, which would hold them by their top and bottom sides, because the standard stand also was attached to the VESA holes on the plastic backside.
Gunja's pics look like his default stand is attached to the metal case, and he also has the VESA holes on the metal case on the back.
I cant say anything about the Dells :-/

I'd go with monoprice, as it's way cheaper.

They also have this:

Hm yeah I guess its dependent on the monitors. So I would have to rig a custom stand for this then? How would I even go about doing that?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I just saw those last night and was wondering if that would do the trick also. Anyone else have any experience with the dells? I'm planning on doing 6 screen eyefinity with no bezels.

That was my initial plan, but 5x1 Portrait is so much more appealing to me. I have all DVI / VGA Monitors, So I'm using 3 MiniDP->VGA adapters (also on monoprice for $20) because buying 3 active MiniDP->DVI would just be way too expensive ($100 a piece).

Hi guys, I've been a visitor of these forums for several months now, since setting up my own Eyefinty. I always hated how the borders of the screens made the bezals more bigger then needed. I found this thread a few weeks ago, and was like wow that looks awesome.
I finally got around to doing it a few hours ago. And I'm really happy with the out come. Not only are the bazels smaller between the screens, but I feel I have more control over the screens whilst there on the stands. I have only 3 little 5:4 17" dells, but with the "outer" plastic borders, the 3 screens even tho the same model all sat at different angles to each other. Altho there at different heights now, like they was anyway, they all sit straight and flush with each other.
IMO it looks more professional then it did with the plastic on. I'll include a before and after shot.

Ok, add me to the list of nutjobs who jabbed a screwdriver into my monitors. Here is the before and after. Yes I know two monitors sucks. I will be buying the third monitor in two weeks.

I would like to be able to get into my screen, let alone run it bezel less. I think it uses those "once only" plastic clips, and there is like a front rim, side rim around the display and a back. The only screws hold the stand on, and the buttons. There is dust stuck in my screen and I want to clean it out!

Isn't it possible to remove the LCD out of the metal case as well, removing the bezel entirely?

Id say no.

maybe it would be possible, but the different layers of the screen would fall apart, there will be major background light leakage and behind the metal casing there is still screenspace, just no active pixels, so you would not win much without actually cutting your screen and modifying the background lightning.

That is my assumption. IF you want your screen components flopping around, then go nuts.
