Windows 7 Desktop with Eye-finity

Post by Mach1.9pants »

Can someone help me on this. My EF set up will be arriving over this week and I really want to be ready to go. One of the best things about TH2Go is being able to maximise a window in to a monitor. Is there anyway to do that with EF?

Will I have to enable SLS for games, just keep it 3 individual monitors for work?
Or is there a (free) program out there that will do it?

I take it it is the former and I will need to do some hot key mashing!

Cheers

What else are we talking about here?

If the profiles are what makes the computer boot back up into the same screen config and resolution that it was shut down to, then I guess it's the same issue.

I really don't have the technical expertise to know where the problem(s) lie.

If you want to enable SLS all the time then you can download HydraVision (an add-on to Catalyst) and divide the SLS surface into portiona that match the panel size.

Swapping using hotkeys works most of the time, but I think the Apple adapter doesn't like it too much. However I realy DO like having the entire task bar on the centre screen, that is just awesome! Decisions, decisions....

After the traditional 30 minutes trying to get the bl00dy thing to work, I now really like how you have set up the EF software. Good stuff, BZ ATi (my first ATi card).

Boy I am struggling to get this to work.

UPDATE 2:
If I shut the PC down in singlescreen mode and then restart it later, it restarts in singlescreen mode. However, I cannot return to the 3 screen profile from here anymore via Hotkey. It returns to clone mode, but then fails to continue to the single large display. I can do it via Shortcut, however. And after I do it via Shortcut, I can do it via hotkey again.

Alternatively, if I hotkey to Triplescreen so it goes to 3 screens cloned, hotkey it back to singlescreen, then hotkey it back to Triplescreen three times, it works.

Weird!

FWIW i am having the exact same problem... can setup 2 profiles, switch back and forth lovely (although need to hit 3 times to get into SLS) HOWEVER like you I cannot do this once I reboot. I cannot hit the profile 3 times, it only allows me to hit once, get into clone mode, then the profile is unresponsive when I hit it again... can setup a new profile but quite a hassle.

Haven't heard many people with this issue, I guess 3 of us in this thread but hopefully a fix is being worked

Re: Massive interest in Triplehead2Go still?

I'm sure the added exposure of ATI and NVIDIA joining the market has helped fuel interest significantly. While TH2Go is the older tech, it does offer unique features like GPU independence, simpler connectivity (all DVI), and what I think may be most important: Windows XP compatibility. XP still has a huge base, and for people who can't afford or don't wish to upgrade, the TH2Go is viable.

Second-hand TH2G units used to be pretty rare, too. Now that there's more of them because of Eyefinity/NvSurround, people not interested in these solutions can finally make the jump.
