And a answer from Bioware

The 1.01 patch is out: http://social.bioware.com/game_patches.php and does address issues with "extremely" wide-screen resolutions.

Cool, but by then we'll probably all have beaten the game at least once :(.

You completed it already then?

I bought the game too.

Really fast responce from Bioware, I immediately installed patch after game installation and videos play fine.

I agree with xetura, I hope they fix the thing with the taskbar, it's annoying to use it at the left monitor.

Also at times I have "color blinks" (don't know how to describe it better) on the right monitor (more rarely on the left). Otherwise the games runs smoothly on 5760*1200.

Hopefully a patch will address these issues.

Holy shit, fastest time around for a patch ever :o

Good job, BioWare, ATI ! 8)

EDIT: Yeah, when you're in third person mode things at "long" distances disappear (in front on the middle monitor). Pretty weird since everything was fine on single monitor resolutions.

I'm having major issues with 5040x1050 in this game. Stuff just disappears in front of me like trees and grass sometimes. Do any of you have this issue? If I run it on single screen, I do not have this problem.

I have the same problem too apart from the other problem mentioned on previous post (semi-transparent rectangle flashing randomly on monitor connected with dp adapter)

Im just giving the game a trial right now, wont give it my full attention until I am done with Torchlight, but I applied the new patch and was able to play 5760x1200 and see the cut scenes. Game runs pretty well about 30fps or so with a 5870 at that resolution.

I have seen some graphic anomalies though and not sure if its due to the extra fov and resolution.

Character models like to "blend" with background objects if they are "active" objects. Like the distortion effect from a fires' flame or the crystals in the wall at the Dwarfen castle.

It seems to happen really bad at cut scenes, cant say I really noticed it when outside of them though. I also had a NPC's face totally dissapear one time and get replaced with the texture of the background behind it.

I think this will be an enjoyable game and I am glad to see it support surround resolutions.

Now I just wish Last Remnant did :( I wanted to play that one but its hard to now when other games support surround and it does not.

Last Remnant is a 360 port, so chances of that working are fairly slim. Plus, Square has a terrible history of supporting their PC releases... :(

Yeah, the autolevel the NPCs do are pretty horrible IMHO... When I finally got Oghren (the Dwarf) he had 22 willpower. Now why in the world would a Dwarven Warrior need that much Willpower? Ugh.

so got outside the dwarf town and now in the forest I can see I suffer the popup and vanishing object issue as well, depending on where the camera is rotated everything just goes *poof*.

Good game but think I will have to force myself to not play it until that gets fixed so I can better enjoy it.

I made 2 short clips to compare 1920x1200 to 5760x1200 the difference in the environment is easily noticeable as is the pop up effect on the surround resolution.

Im going to hop in bed should have been sleeping like 4 hours ago, but later tonight I will go post these on there forums so they can see the problem and hopefully give us a fix.

Try to bump that thread if you can, just overnight while the post count is at its lowest it fell to page 4 with no reply's and no views, only us who use 3x screens are going to care about the bug.

vertigo?

Haven't really played that much (first room lolz), @work right now (just discovered the site!). Yeah only 2 monitors, I'm not spending the extra cash now until there is a certified AMD DP-DVI dongle.

Does anyone see the effect of the movement not syncing up, or am I just crazy?

Is there such a thing as horizontal vertigo hah!

No, I don't actually play with 2 screens, it was just a proof-of-concept on my part.

I need support fire on bioware forums lol, everybody there is like "omg nobody uses a setup like you, they should not have to support it" and other pointless banter.

Yeah the aspect ratio is not the problem, the missing objects in the game and pop up is currently the problem. See the videos I posted just above.

Aspect ratio was more or less fine for me, but the missing objects are a pain.

yeah, them missing things is the main reason i play on just 1 monitor :/

btw, by now i understand why some chars are so horribly skilled as they are - the game would be too easy otherwise! ive played through by now with my dual-wield rogue and right now im going for an arcane warrior and both of cthem seem to be totally overpowered if skilled correctly :/
how i miss baldurs gate :(
[sarcasm]well, as long as people complain they had to go to easy to win against a mob, im certain the casual movement is not yet failing[/sarcasm] ....nightmare is really ridiculously easy - wheres the fun in rightclick -> win? >.<
