Has anyone managed to achieve 5040x1050 with an ATi 5870 yet
My concern is that the pool of people who want this is so small that when it actually happens it'll go unnoticed!

Lol yes, but tbh i think ill wait for the GTX380, i also cancelled my 5870s due to the lack of 5040x1050 support in the new ATI drivers.

I do not see why this wont work, just need to set all 3 monitors to 1680x1050 resolution first and then setup them up as a SLS.
I will test it today for you, I am getting about 30fps in borderlands @ 5760x1200 so maybe a reduction in resolution will get me into the 40's where I want to be.
What you cant do is leave a 24" monitor with a native 1920x1200 res @ 19020x1200 then set the game to use a lower resolution, it will result in the game not fitting the screens correctly, though its possible I could have the monitor itself fix that problem by having it scale up the smaller centered image on each screen.

Tried to test it, cant even choose 1680x1050 on my monitors as a resolution individually nor do I see a place to force it.
