The FOV is completely screwed in this game, best way to describe it is COD 4/5 without your fixer Dopefish, it is unplayable in triple screen.
And as pointed out you can't seem to edit the ini file to adjust the FOV, has anybody managed to resolve this issue?
@ Dinmaster I think it must be 'zoomed' in for you as anybody else trying to play triple screen is having the same issues.
Def needs a FOV fixer

Yes, you can force it to run on triple, but its completely stretched - or you can play at 1680x1050 i.e. with nice AR. :(

Thats weird, it seems that "leaked" MP beta could be played on triplehead perfectly fine :

Edit: Yes the MP supports THG resolutions, but when using the same GFX settings on SP it looks stretched, awful.

This is likely due to the fact that the MP part of the game uses OGL (basically an updated ET:QW engine). SP uses D3D for the video.

I don't get it, wouldn't having both OGL and D3D parts in one game like double development on it? why would they do such a thing?

I wouldn't say double the development. Since they were using the ET:QW engine (newer id Tech 4 engine), it was already set up for OpenGL. They basically just had to write a renderer in D3D. For single-player, it was more than likely far more cost-effective, efficient, and faster to go with Direct3D, since that's a major part of the game. The MP is actually kind of horrible.

hey guys,
would like to play the game as well in 3840x1024, but cant get it work.
i have found now that you can change the FOV with following command in cfg file:
seta g_fov "anynumber"
on first menu screen, it works fine, but when starting the game its again the old, unplayable fov.
any ideas?

You can enable the console and change the fov in game using the seta g_fov "anynumber" command, but it makes the game look terribly stretched, and once you move you get the default FOV back lol
To enable the console, simply create a file using notepad, name it "autoexec.cfg", add this command inside it
set com_allowConsole "1"
and place it inside the folder C:Program FilesActivisionWolfensteinSPbase .
To activate the console, press RAlt + LAlt + `, to deactivate it press ` .
I think the aspect ratio is the problem to run this game on THG, very similar issue to GRAW 2 i guess.

I know people here are smarter on these things than, and surely have tried this, but if you change the FOV command line and then make the config read-only, it still switches it back?

Yes, as soon as you move (press W i.e.).
