Has anyone figured out a solution to the problem when you create a custom resolution on the NVIDIA control panel it "works" then says failed, then reverts back? I have the GeForce 9800 GT driver 181.20 and I am trying to create a 5040x1050 57 hz for my TH2Go. It is driving me nuts! I have it hooked to 3 Dell 2208WFP monitors. I have searched a lot and can't find a great solution. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I have also emailed Matrox support.

I just downgraded my Driver to 180.48 and then was able to create a custom resolution by doing the following:
Opening the NVIDIA Control Panel
Custom Resolution
1. Set Horiz 5040 Vert 1050, GDI 57, Bits 32
2. Timing Standard to CVT Reduced, then to Manual
3. Horizontal Front 64
3. Vertical Front 3
4. Active Horizontal 5040
5. Active Vertical 1050
6. Horizonal Total 5376
7. Vertical Total 1068
8. Horizontal Sync 64
9. Vertical Sync 4
10. Horizontal Sync polarity (+)
11. Vertical Sync Polarity (-)
I am running Windows Vista 64bit. I hope this helps!
How to skip idiotic "test failed" message

Good joke if system doesn't let you skip test of it.
Someone mentioned editing driver.ini file but I don't find anything about all those recommended settings to write manually like porch etc..
Does anybody know where I can force those settings? I searched already whole registry but it seems to be crypted.

Riva tuner can also add custom resolution to the list without testing first. Under driver settings, click on Customize-->CustomDisplay Mode/ Refresh Rate Wizard--> Type in the resolution, colour bit and refresh rate you want--->OK.
It should now be available to chose under Change Resolution in Nvidia and Windows Control Panel :D

Does it work with the trial version of PowerStrip and will it stick if you uninstall it ? Last time I checked, that app was not free of charge :?
Edit: ignore me. I read Powerstrip instead of RT. :oops:

I really hate to report this, but no success at all:
I do Rivatunter-> driver settings->custom display mode / refresh rate wizzard -> enter hi res. settings (under "Refresh rates list" what the heck do they mean with "list") I put 60, then it asks for restart, I do this, and I even don't have max. res. after restart, I have max. 4320 x 900 selectable in Nvidia tool.
