Grid Demo and full game in TripleHead ... almost ...

Post by DigChaos »

So I had grid working fine then i decide to start messing with the video settings and screwed myself over. I was messing with the Multisampling settings and changed it to 16xccaa or something, anyway after i hit accept Grid crashed. Now i can't load it, as soon as I go to run it it flickers black like it goes to start the game then gives me the "Grid has encountered a problem and needs to be closed" error box. Since i can't get into the game to change the settings back to whatever they were before ( do any of you remember what the original Multisampling settings were set to? ) Is there a way to restoring the video settings to default or whatever out of game via deleting a config file that contains the saved video/hardware settings. I've tried to remove "hardware_settings_config.xml" and it still crashes, so i removed "hardware_settings_options.xml, hardware_settings_ratings.xml, hardware_settings_restrictions.xml" lol pretty much anything hardware_settings lol tryin to get lucky but it didn't help. Any ideas?

If your video drivers have FSAA set to 'application controlled' setting em to override or disabled might let you get in, as long as the game doesn't disregard such a setting.

Cool, one wonders why grid lets you pick things you don't have but hey, not the first game I've seen that does that, those I've seen usually just apply no fsaa with invalid settings though, they don't crash.
