As long as you don't patch it and just use 3820x1024 you should be fine. It ran OK on my old monitors just not trip wide res.

Thanks for the tip. I think the Steam version comes fully patched, though, and I'm unaware of any ability to downgrade a Steam game.

I'll mull it over a bit. The world should keep spinning if I decide to pass. ;)

Has this project now died guys?! I have just purchased and would love to play on max res on widescreen modes!?

AFAIK only the unpatched version of the game allows use of the fov fix.
