Your absolutely right...And it wont work. Someone pointed out from another post that using the dual head to go, in windows eyes, you'll only have two monitors...one 3360x1050 and another one 1680x1050. if you try to span them as a horizontal single display it will shrink the 3360 down to 1680 spaned over two monitors and we dont want that...From all the research and testing ive done, SoftTH is the only way to get 5040x1050

Makes sense - horizontally spanned monitors have to be of equal resolution.
Oh well, thanks for the research.

Ithrial -
Thanks so much for all your help! When I get a hold of a video camera of some sort, I will upload my setup with WoW in the background.

Well it turns out I can't even try this since my analog TH2Go doesn't support the mode expander tool in Vista.
So maybe I need to try this SoftTH after all. Couldn't hurt to have both.
Is 8400gs the cheapest card? What about a 8300gs? Since it doesn't do any rendering, what does it matter?

it really doesnt matter...as long as the card supports DX9c, your good to go...im not even using a geforce card...im using an nvidia quaddro card...works fine, with the exception of some discoloring of the video on close ups...it doesnt render the image, but it still has to display the color...

Since the TMET performs a modification of the Analogue TripleHead
2Go's firmware one time only and then is no longer required, I think you'd be able to use it on any system, then move your TripleHead
2Go back to your main system.

Well I got a 8400GS and am trying SoftTH. I couldn't get Stranglehold or Neverwinter Nights 2 to work so far. I'm downloading a World of Warcraft Trial so I can at least work on a game that we KNOW supports 5040x1050.
