anyone getting errors with Gears of War PC?

I got the crash like 4 times since I bought the game on Thursday. I just changed drivers from the 169.04 to the 163.75, and hope that helps with the crash. The big problem i have with the game, and it got me killed a few times, is the damn stuttering. I know alot of people have complained about it. Hopefully they'll have a patch for that, soon.

the rumor atm is the crashing is related to the copy protection as the pirates using the no cd crack have no issues with the crashing

soo you might want to try hunting down the no cd crack and trying that

interesting... i will try to find the crack later tonight then to see if that fixes the issue. At this point however, I am doubtful on any fix from the community because I have seriously tried everything that has been posted on the Epic Forums. None have worked so far and I don't think anything else is going to work either. Simply put, I think I'm S.O.O.L. until they decide to release a patch of some sort addressing this issue.

I heard it's nothing to do with the no-cd, i've read on various places people who claim to be using illegal version and still having crashes AND I hear it's happening to Viva Pinata also (which has games for windows live exactly a Gears does).. same error!

So it's defintely the G4Wlive BS integration.

Maybe a no-cd willwork for some people but due to the Viva Pinata thing causing the same error the only connection is the g4wlive bs.

wow.... THANK YOU MICROSOFT. gimp the multiplayer portion of the game first, THEN gimp the entire game (for me anyways).

I am having absolutly no problems with the game (except crashes caused by my broken 8800gtx) on a vista 64 system.
