I installed the new nVidia driver and now I get the 1280 x 800 resolution! Yay! :) I still don’t get custom resolution but it has added the 1280 x 800 resolution.

However my experience is not entirely smooth in either 1280 x 800 or 720. I get some dropped frames when I walk in MOH:A. What is the minimum graphic card necessary to get a smooth playing experience at 1280 x 800 with modern games? Isn’t my card good enough? It’s a new mid-range card. Geforce 8600 GTS 256MB.

Well I get super smooth and fast action with my card at 1920x1200, so I would imagine you would be ok at 1280x800 with a 8600?

Well you have 8800gts and 640mb. That's a lot of difference! :wink:

However if this is not normal I would like to adjust it. I have even tried the Triple thingy stuff in nVidia! The strange thing is that when I set the details to medium instead of high, I still get unsmooth walk. :?
