Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

EDIT - I cannot get circles on the HUD using 1920x1200 and 1920x1080. Tried with aspect correction on and off.
Another problem is that FRAPS and printscreen compresses the image Vert for the screenshot. I broke out the ruler and there is an additional half inch on the top and bottom bars in the screenshots as opposed to ingame.
I took down the pics because I cannot identify this behavior. Maybe different resolutions within the same aspect ratio are supported differently? There was an update when I ran the game. Perhaps they screwed something up?

The original pics at the begininng also have warped cicrles in the 4:3 and 16:10 resolutions.
Even stranger as I cannot get a perfect circle in 1920x1080 which displays correctly.

I am freaking out mannn! Freaking out!
(Updated FRAPS took the pics correctly)
1600x1200
1920x1200 WITHOUT ASPECT CORRECTION TURNED ON
1920x1200 WITH ASPECT CORRECTION
My guess is that aspect correction is only there for certain resolutions. Maybe I will go through the list. :(

1920x1200 with "aspect correction" off looks perfect to me.

I went through all the resolutions with the aspect correction on and off.
Here is an example with 1920x1080
Aspect Correction On
Aspect Correction Off
Once again aspect correction turned on adds letterbox and compresses the image.
These are the other main resolutions with aspect correction turned OFF.(1920x1200 is listed in another post above)
They are all perfect. Which begs the question, what is acpect correction used for? Other than a drop in FPS. :D
All resolutions are native but you may need to lower the in game refresh rate setting to get the resolutions to appear on the menu. Then you can raise it to your supported max refresh rate.

I have a guess. My guess is that it's there for people with 4:3 monitor who want to play in letterboxed 16:9 mode. If you take your "aspect ratio ON" picture at 1920x1080 and reduce it to 1440x1080, then it becomes a 4:3 screen with a letterboxed 16:9 game image. I am guessing this is what the game would look like if you had a 4:3 monitor with VGA and used those settings.

You think they could have said that on the option screen.
