Yeah ... they haven't done it right with the single player demo ...
The thing is most of the guys on the ghostrecon.net forum (the forum where the developers supposedly listen to the users) are happy with what they have done and aren't bothering to complain ... or don't understand what is wrong ...

Here is what is happening in the single player demo ... Hor+ and Vert + ... ... GRAW was not Vert + ...

To be honest, I don't care about the demo. How does it look with the 'full' version?

Widescreen is wider ... not wider and taller ...

Assuming the FOV is set correctly for any given aspect ratio then all wider or narrower screens should have a wider or narrower horizontal FOV ... the vertical FOV should not change.
Zooming in or out (which is what they have done) from that default FOV is not the correct way to adjust/implement the FOV for the various aspect ratios.

True widescreen ... the wider the screen the wider the horizontal FOV ...

Yeah i totally noticed this the first pan around i made in the demo. After the third pan, i reminded myself of what its like playing Chronicles of Riddick and how your view point is centered back in your body and after about pan 10 i knew i could never play this game like that. I wasted a bunch of time playing with options, but no luck. Those ugly brown maps are getting old for me anyways, but i still hope they fix it, for their and our sakes.
