KOTOR 2 patch 1.0b widescreen solution

mk86: Changed the patch.. try it again please..

Would it be possible to get this for 1440x900 resolution? My monitor just doesn't support the pre-set, so the image is cut off in-game. As far as I can tell, it does correct the stretching problem.

Just download the exe+ini from my link unzip them to your kotor2 base folder and alter the swkotor2.ini file lines

[Graphics Options]

Width=1680
Height=1050

to

Width=1440
Height=900

Hope that helps

Let me rephrase this: If I edit that .ini file, kotor2 resets to low-res even when I set it to read-only. I'm about out of ideas, so if there's anything else I could try, I'd appreciate a bit more assistance. :)

Reinstall the game? What happened? Please provide details so that if there are bugs then Squizzy could fix them.

I intend on using this patcher, but first I need to play and finish KotOR1.

Your patcher isn't working here either. I have the UK version of Kotor2, patched it and tried to use your widescreen patcher.
If I try to patch the normal .exe of the game, not a cracked one, the game just crashes when starting.
If I patch a cracked .exe the game starts, but is reset to the 800x600 Resolution.

Also neither of the two .exe files is the size your patcher requests. The original .exe is about 13MB, the cracked one is at about 4,5MB and your patcher is looking for a file with about 6MB size.

Made a more clear ReadMe file. It's working with the v1.0b patch:

Sorry, still isn't working here. I patched the game using the included update system, replaced the .exe, set 800x600 res and used your patcher but the game is just starting in 800x600 and not in the resolution chosen in the patcher.

has there been any update, i got kOTOR2 and patched it...and it sucks cause i have a WS monitor but nothing here works (uniWS specifically)

I suspect that Uniws 1.3 works on my 1.0b exe because its has the protection software removed from ;)

it if someone could host it remotely that would be cool as the account its uploaded to atm will die on the 15/2/07 and it would be cool if other ppl could have acess to after then

I would like to thank you bee for the link and squ1zzy for his job. I'm glad to finaly be able to play with the 1920x1200 resolution.
My girls won't show anymore their big ass (due to the 1600x1200 resolution stretched). Say, I rediscover the game! Cheers, mate! I'm so happy... :D
