I'd actually be tempted, as I really wanted to play Titan Quest... but after it hosing a GPU (only thing I can pin the death of my X1900XT down to)... I'm a little nervous.

Yeah, I thought that too... but it was too much of a coincidence to write off. It might have been that the card was dying at the time, but it had been playing FEAR without issue for days... and then after installing and running Titan Quest for five minutes (and watching the game crash to desktop)... the next time I loaded the game up (after a restart) the whole comp died when the game crashed, and then the screen wouldn't do anything other than 'DVI sync error'. I stuck a 6800GS in as an emergency card, and everything was fine. So the GPU died from a game crashing. Strange but true.

I'd say it as 'game crashed because of a dying gpu' though.

Titan Quest is fun albeit crashes constantly. I especially enjoyed the 'punch mobs into the clouds' wacked out physics.

A similar game you might enjoy is Loki:age of mythologies. I've been playing it for weeks and haven't even reached the first ending yet (gotta replay through all 3 difficulties to get the ending apparently)

Well I finished it a long time ago, probably other patches since. I've yet to see a single PC game that doesn't crash anyways.

I thought overlord had achieved that but it played fine for a while then started crashing so much it was unplayable, I ended up uninstalling it, not feeling like starting over.

Mm... perhaps. The fact is, though, that more strenuous games were fine minutes before installing Titan Quest.

Anyway, I'll never know, as the card is dead and gone, and I'm not installing Titan Quest again on another system to find out. ;)

Back on topic...
There's a 'fanpatch' now bringing Immortal Throne up to v1.16. Loads of bug fixes (quest rewards, item stats,...) and only does (revertible) changes to the game's database. MUST INSTALL ! :D

Thanks to it my lvl 67 character finally got his rewards for killing the Generals of Hades and the Styx monster - in all 3 difficulty modes ;)
