Yeah it appears that my table probably wont work for others. It's prbably fairly unique for my settings. (I've never used ArtMoney before so i could be talking rubbish).

If you just follow the NFS:MW tutorial that Paddy excellently made it really is very straight forward. As i said, it was my first ever time using the program and i just followed his tutorial to the letter. All you have to do differently, as Quazimojo said, is when you change the res ingame, instad of just minimising, you have to quit the game, load it again, and THEN mimimise it, to have it in the newly selected resolution.

If you follow the rest of that NFSMW profile except for that small part, then you're golden!

Loader just isnt going to work, so i guess we can either:

all make an artmoney file, easy to do.

or

wait for a patch (prolly wont ever happen)

Also, if anyone wants to try my justcause.amt file, its available here:

Thanks a lot for the help guys. The game looks amazing at 2560x1600 but my single 7800gtx cant handle that well, kind of slow sometimes. Anyway, i couldn't use the trick not to repeat all the steps through Artmoney, i don't know why but i followed the same procedure and still i cant get the saved file to work. So i gotta do the whole thing every time i wanna play. Have u guys been successful with this?

Make sure the table that you have saved is in the same resolution as the game when you load it.
So if the table is full of 800 and 600 entries, make sure that the game is in 800x600 when you mimise it to load the table and change the values to your desired res. My understanding of the program is very small but i believe that's correct.

Go through the tutorial again and really concentrate and double check to make sure you've done everything right. I can't see it working for some, and not for others. You'll prob find you've read something wrong or made a small mistake.

Thanks a lot eZ, you were right. I was saving after i changed to the resolution that i was going to use. Now, i saved after the values were 800 and 600 and it worked.

I used this method, and it works... sort of. Two problems:

1) Pieces of my taskbar flash at the bottom.

2) The game crashes after a few minutes. It's done this three times to me so far, all within about that much time, and the game doesn't crash otherwise. I'm quite sure I did everything correctly in Artmoney.

I really hope someone can come up with some kind of patch for this game.

Well i got it working just fine... the forst time around.
I did all that was inteh guide, and saved teh .amt file.

and it worked great, and i played for a couple hours.

But now when i try again, no go.

1 start Artmoney
2 start Just Cause and load savegame
3 alt-tab to Artmoney and select Just Cause process
4 load the .amt from before
5 change the 800's to 1440 and the 600's to 900, and delete the rest of the vaues
6 save .amt again
7 alt-tab back to teh game, and it's still at 800x600.

if i alt-tab back to Artmoney for the second time, all but a few calues have reverted back to 800 or 600... and even if i change those back to my desired resolution, teh game is still at 800x600 when i alt-tab back to it.

BUT i can get it working just fine if i start the ENTIRE process over again... from scratch.

what am i doing wrong?

Thanks.

Mike, read the rest of the thread, when you save your profile matters. ^^

had my first crash... sigh... BTW if you have icons that regularly update themselves in your system tray, remove em, otherwise they may flash on the screen in the game.

yes, the only thing which i have had is the "flashing taskbar", so just hide any updating icons.

Otherwise i've played the game for hours and hours now without a single crash, so I'm not sure what that problem may be.

Thanks for the method, it works great!

Only problem I have is that the stuff isn't saving right (maybe the values keep changing?), so I have to go through the process each time...It's np though, cause I haven't had any crashes, so I don't have to go through the process too often.

I can't get the ArtMoney method to work with the demo. I have tried several times by following the guide, and when I set it all to 1920x1200, when I click back to the game, it just makes my desktop flicker and the game never resumes to full screen.

perhaps the full version will not give me trouble, but I don't believe its out yet at least not in the states.

I dunno about teh fdemo, but with the ful version you jsut have to relaod your savegame.

As for myself, I still ahve no luck with using a saved .amt properly.

I've gone through thte process three times now, carefully following the steps and double checking, but still no luck - i have to do teh ENTIRE process from teh very begining for it to work.
Still, better than nothing...

and yes, i DID make sure to save the table at the right times.

Arg.

Mike, could be your horrible typing? ;)

Rich, yea values dont save, only the locations of them (though like I said before, for some reason the amt I load some how got memory locations that wernt there when I saved). remember, save before you enter your custom reesolution in.
