Perhaps FEAR didn't sell as well as they wanted (it is, afterall, a single player game ... MP is fun but not worth buying) and they are using this demo as a way of attracting attention.

I'm sure the final game will be polished; we're not talking about an EA release here. :wink:

Well, MP really IS no reason to buy it nowadays, seeing how it's free and all :P.
