RE: "It's a great system but there are not too many new games that work well on it ... "

Are there any realistic systems that run any of them well??

That's a nice tower you got their X-Warrior =)
I really like my Xaser case. Though god damn is she heavy... It's honestly the only nice looking case I've seen on NewEgg. I guess it also helps that everything I own computer related is themed the same, black, red and gray.

Thanks for posting a pic of my setup Doug. I shall get some more suiting pictures though right now. I needed to clean up this room anyways.

And yes, shooting sucks big ones with dual monitors. Paddy's setup is what you want for shooters =) It's damn nice BTW Patty. What is that joystick-like-mabob on the front of the desk???

EDIT:

Got some pictures here...

and... omg the wires ;)

Don't mind the carpet... It's all I had so the chair wouldn't ruin the floor

Thanks ... it looks great but as I say not quite up to it for playing the latest games ... :(
The thing on the front of my desk is my Thrustmaster Handlebars ... but they have stopped making them now ... :(
... great for racing games ... no need for foot-pedals and 15 buttons at your fingertips ... and I like bikes ... :D

Blimey, framerate, look at spaghetti junction on the floor there! Iron Maiden, eh? 8)

I would post pics, but I'm lacking a decent digital camera at the present time (I'd really like an EOS 350D, however...) ;)

Would you beleive i actually cleaned my cables up today!? Thats on a good day :) Ive just got too many things plugged in to have any less of a mess!

I just got myself an EOS20D, although i need to spend some time reading the manual and working out all the settings on it.

Ive had that poster up for about 5 years, my wall would look bare without it! I still like Maiden but not as much as i used to :)

On another note, is your name taken from Liquid Tension Experiment 1 album by any chance? :)

I'd believe it, don't worry. If I could actually see the wires around my desktop, they'd probably be worse. 5.1 speaker setups play havok with tidy wires! :D

My old technique was just click away and try things - with the new breed of DSLR, that's no longer a viable option!

Nope, sorry. I've had that question a couple of times in the past, actually... I'll have to see if I can find that CD. What genre is it? (Not a great fan of rap or techno...)

For a vague explanation of my nick, see this thread:

5.1 does cause a mess yes! Im only using a 2.1 as my room wouldnt work very well with 5.1. With external HD's and external sound cards, and god knows what else i just havent found a way to get a tidy cable arrangement! When i move house ill make a proper cable management system, until then, im quite happy with my fire hazard :)

My problem exactally! Pics from it seem to be a bit dark, and ive yet to find how to increase the exposure (although reading the manual might help!).

Its a bit difficult to explain. Liquid Tension Experiment were a supergroup made out of members of Dream Theater (Guitars: John Petrucci, Drums: Mike Portnoy), an amazing Keyboardist: Jordan Rudess and the bassist Tony Levin (whos played on a ridiculous amount of records by various pop/rock acts). The album came out as a kind of instrumental progressive rock/fusion thing, llots of good musicianship, over the top keyboards, guitars and drums.

Theres some real nice stuff on it, from heavish, to really mellow.

Paradigm Shift happens to be a total guitar shred-fest of "look how many notes i can play!". Good fun song :)

framerateuk, how do you stand the noise the xbox 360 makes when the disc is spinning? You have it so close to your ears. I can´t stand the noise and have it in another room and use long cables :).

Well its about 5 times louder than my XPC :) But probably isnt as loud as my old pc was! I dont really notice it much to be honest, especially when ive got the audio turned up!

The only problem i get is playing DVD's, it causes my whole desk to vibrate badly, and everything on there buzzes! Also it skips playing DVD's too, which is a shame as the picture quality is great!

Cool :) Ive got a cheap Ibanez bass around the place somewhere that i use for recording, but im not really much of a bassist.

Im am a guitar nut though :) The guitar in my pic is my EBMM Petrucci Sig, ive got 2 Ibanez 6 strings and a 7 string too :)

The pod is pretty good, its not 100% there, but this modeling stuff is getting better, wish i could afford a proper valve amp though :) (and have somewhere to use it properly! not really worth it when im back in uni next year though).

framerateuk, just outta curosity. On your 2405, do you have anything going through component on it? Cause I wanna know if it's only my PS2 that puts out these odd vertical lines through componant. Using S-Video it's not there, but obviously it's less clear.

I'd imagine though since you've got a 360 you've got the VGA cables for it (they make it look so good). But was thinking MAYBE you had componant cause you got the better bundled system (Which comes with componant).

Lemme know :)

p.s. what external sound device is that under your 360 controller?
