Anyone have a clue why this game doesnt support proper wide screen out of the box? I mean it was made with the Xbox360 in mind, and that HAS to have 720p.
Why do we get a lame duck of a programmed game that should of had wide screen but doesn't?
install demo, start game, set the resolution to lowest, 640 by 480?, turn of anti alaising, exit game, download patch from paddywhack, execute into the folder that has the original exe file in it, say yes to all, job done.
Just don't go fiddling with the res ingame :) i turned the AA back on and i am assuming it is working cos i got another massive fps drop :( this game really is a hog, but goodness knows why?
Use speedDemo.exe for 1680x1050 and this speed2.exe for 1920x1200.
I'm not sure I want to host this for too long ... so get it while you can ...
When I use UniWS, the only file that shows up as a patch file is the speed2.exe even though both files are extracted in the folder....why does UniWS only see the file for 1920X1200?? I really want to run the game at 1680X1050.... :(
I really want to get NFSMW in widescreen. Right now i cant play it with my 20" ACD so I had to switch back to my 19" CRT to get 4:3  . I want that widescreen patch asap. I dont want to ruin the game/experience by completing the game with my CRT :(.
This guy skinner got 1680x1050 somehow, but he hasn't told anyone how he did it.
Wasn't that posted before the full game was even released? The screenshots all look like they were taken from the demo which we already know can be patched the same way as NFS:U2.
Hi, this patch is great. Thanks to whoever made it! I don't really care too much bout fov, just as long as the picture is not stretched. I've been playing it at 1680 x 1050 and its been great, but something tells me im putting too much pressure on my gfx card (x800) with all the low frame rates I'm getting. Is there anyway I can knock the res down a little and play the game at say, 1280 x 768? I would appreciate anyone who can tell me the answer.
Also, I have a tip, if you are finding that you are getting really choppy framerates, turn the shadow quality right off in the gfx options. It speeds the game up a heap, and besides I found that the shadowing actually made the game look worse. It could just be that I'm an ati person rather than the recommend nvidia.
I too VERY badly wish to have my game in widescreen. I don't want to sit here and just wait for it to happen..so if anyone needs help with anything, contact me and I WILL help you. My AIM is rabbitTRK, and my e-mail is [email protected]. Good luck modders! May god be with you!!!
(if you can't tell, I REALLY want a widescreen patch!)(just like everyone else)
