Well, according to that tweakguide place, it says that the resolution command (/resolution [width height]) "sets the resolution for the server window." Maybe thats only for the small server window when hosting a server?

I could have sworn I tried it before and found no difference in resolution.

Its odd, cause in that video.ini file, it lists 1440x900 however its not an option for the in game settings.

Alright - in the same folder as the file that lists all the resolutions is a text file called "device" that basically (looks to me anyways) enables certain resolutions depending on what card you have. I copied the numbers after the ati x800 xt and pasted them after my card (9800xt) but it did nothing. So I've hit a brick wall. :(

I set the rez in the commandline and it only worked for the game's menu system so far.

"C:Program FilesLucasArtsStar Wars BattlefrontGameDataBattlefront.exe" /resolution 848 480

Maybe if there was a way in the commandline to bypass the menu and go straight into a map (or map list) in the game...

I don't have my laptop with me, but I referred to this tweak guide below by adding the /resolution command switch. I think I used the 1280/960

http://www.tweakguides.com/SWB_7.html

When I tried this the beginning sequence filled the entire screen, as well as the gameplay too but when I try the samething on my main pc the entire game, beginning sequence and all is squished. I will look again at my laptop when I get back home and I'll post again if I was incorrect and the picture stretches, but I'm very certain it didnt.

The tweakguide has already been talked about here on this thread. It doesnt seem that the /resolution command works for game play. In fact, on the tweak guide, it says "/resolution [width height] - Sets the resolution for the server window" I think that resolution command only sets the size of the server window when you run a server. Who know.

Though, I really wish I can play it 1440x900 WS :(

Got Battlefront run at 1280x800. First try won´t work, cause original driver (SOny > Radeon 9200) won´t "recognized" by the game.....
After installed new driver for ATI Radeon Mobility from here....
http://www.station-drivers.com/page/atidriv%20mobility.htm

...Start once more and now I can play at 1280x800....

hope it will help anyone...

Just by using a different set of drivers made it work? Well, I'm a little leary on using drivers I've havent heard of. I've been using Omega's Drivers.

Anyone else have any luck?

I can just verify that in my experience the numbers in the ini file do not relate to actual resolutions available in the game and I was unable so far to get it to work at 1680x1050. This is the strangest config file I've ever seen. I don't see any wide resolutions available at all, I run GF6800GT, Dell 20" LCD.

Fixed

Post by d1sc0d3v1l »

Fixed, its just the same as Battlefront II, I wrote this in notepad and saved it as .bat.
"your install directory"GameDataBattlefront.exe /resolution 1920 1200
Then just launch it from the batch file.

Don't mix up Battlefront.exe with LaunchBF.exe

Main menu will still be low-resolution but the game itself should be whatever resolution you set it to ;)
