Skyrim Multi-Monitor User Interface Fix Discussion
Thank you for the trainer, at least the game is playable now in surround. I appreciate the contribution. Hope Bethesda can get their crap together, a weekend off was planned around the release of this game! If you have time, can you build a version for 5760x1200? I imagine bezel correction is much less important than aspect ratio, since the bezels are cutting my menu in 16:10, so any triple with a 1200 vert should do!

I truly feel that Bethesda dropped the ball, big time.
At any rate, thanks for the widescreen hack. Has anyone noticed *some* black textures while using the hack?

Thx for all the info in this thread so far! I still have some minor issues:
I had to set the res manually (1200 x 5040), [works]
I ran the trainer [works]
...but withmenu on left [1] the last info (value) on items is behind monitor bezels
and with default [2] the menu is too big and lower part of item info cut by lower screen.
Is that trainer set up for a specific res? How can I fix this?

They not only dropped the ball, they kicked it out of the stadium, asked the Eyefinity/WS gaming community to fetch it and then left.

Yes I am aware of all the issues:) it is fixed for 5040x1050 resolution. I will work on creating a generic one where people can input their resolution:) But now I am still looking in fixing the other stuff that is messed up in the game:)

Careful with cheat engine and trainers. They can do wonderful things but being considered "cheats" means that if you leave then running on accident and then play a VAC enabled game you can get yourself VAC banned.
Just a FYI always remember to close them immediately after use with a safe game.

Hi,
Think I've got it just about playable using Cheat Engine.
Download cheat engine 6.1then load the attached CT file.
http://www.mediafire.com/?593k7i9kn6xumby
Run skyrim and load up your game. (Make sure you load up your last save before you use the hack or the hud will move over to the left)
atl tab out load the tesv.exe process in cheat engine then put the width of one monitor in the value then go back to skyrim.
The hud is still central, but the menus now appear on the left most monitor!
Works for me, hope it works for you too!
Long time lurker here. I downloaded cheat engine with no problems, but can't download the CT file. The link takes me to a blank mediafire page. I was able to get the game running in 6016x1200 by adjusting the preferences ini. but have the same UI issues as others. Are you required to have a subscription to mediafire in order to download the CT?

Just a note about using 1 and 2 to switch resolutions:
The keys 1 through 8 are used in Skyrim. I can't find it documented anywhere, but found out through a forum post.
When you bring up your QuickList, you can assign numbers to each item. With an item highlighted, press 1 (it will display the 1 next to the item). Then close the QuickList. Now, in order to use that item, just press 1 without bringing up the Quicklist at all. 1 through 8 can be assigned to Quicklist items.
Makes it easy to switch between melee and range.
Numbers 9 and 0 aren't used, though.

Ok thanks! Much appreciated. =)
I played some with the trainer and I think it added more issues than it fixed. The map for one is a mess. The locations "float" so map markings move after you place them and the terrain isn't in place. I'll be waiting for later versions, thx again.

I tried the Cheat fix while being in windowed mode, but it was a bust. I could get to the prog and load the file, then nothing happened with the in game menu. It may because it was windowed or like previously reported, different resolutions not always working.
Skyrim PC Multi Monitor Support

I thought you guys might find this interesting. I emailed Bethesda and this was my email and the response.
Subject: Skyrim PC Multi Monitor Support
Message: We all thought the game was going to be compatible with Eyefinity multi monitor support. We were all dissapointed to see that we could not pick our native resolution within the games display setup launcher. Also once we manually edited the .ini files to support our resolution it looked fine, until you pull up a menu or a dialogue comes up. The overlay of the menu is HUGE and we so far have not found a fix or solution to the problem. It was very upsetting to play the game right at release and spend over an hour just to TRY and get the settings correct. Also there is no option to disable/enable VSYNC which is a major issue for PC gamers. We don't want to run 30FPS when are cards can handle well over this! Once I threw in the towel and used one monitor and just set everything to default so I could play the game, I found that the shadows were messed up. Do these games even get tested on Eyefinity and Nvidia 3D surround before they are shipped? Here is a thread about how
We know it is a console port, but we thought that it would at least be "playable" on PC right out of the box to support MULTI-MONITORS as well as customize options for display, mouse X and Y access, etc.
Please take all these issues into account and provide us with an update for workarounds or patches to fix these very annoying problems.
Currently, Skyrim does not support SLI, Eyefinity, or Dual Monitor viewing. We do not provide any troubleshooting support for these. If you are encountering an issue in running any of these setups or variations of them, please disable them so that you are running one monitor.
Best Regards,
Mike S.

Honestly... not missing much with it turned on. While it tones down the problem of the menus... there are plenty of menus in the game that are still broken. I'm unable to level up at the moment >.<
Time to look into the game coding some more... Here are some of the commands btw....

>.> ::Strangles Mike S.:: Little punk... multi-million dollar game title and they can't spend the tiny fraction to make sure menus work when scaled?
Remind me to send their exec some of their programmers heads on pikes.
