2 more common aspect ratios released.

vpk addons for...
3072x768
3840x1024


These are untested but should work same as the previous 2 for tri-wide-screen.
If users can provide feedback that would be appreciated.

I considered asking for 3840x1024 but didn't want to nag. Thanks! Hopefully Valve wont screw us over with an update.

Basically I just cleaned it up a little so it's less redundant & nicer looking in-game. Addontitle is simpler, both our names are visible, and switched out the ampersand since the game apparently doesn't like it. Here's how it will look (with snazzy WSGF logo...pending Ibrin's approval) :)


And yes, I've already added the missing "i" in Multi-Mon. ;)

Wonder what formats are supported, I am just thinking of a .png with transparency to make it look even sweeter :D
I beleive Ibrin should be cool with it (will get confirmation today), as the other day (saturday I think) we where discussing about potentially porting the intructions over along with the list of mods for l4d2 into a wsgf wiki page perhaps.

Got the thumbs up for the logo. I did try a PNG but the engine just fills in the transparency with black anyway.

GA: I propose we add version number to end of filename so as to make it easyer to manage and identify between future versions.

Thanks, guys. I edited your .vpk file to make a custom one for my 5296x1050 bezel compensated resolution.

If others are looking to make a custom .vpk addon:
1) you need to extract one of Delph's .vpk files to a folder using GCFScape
2) replace the .res files with custom ones created by Delph's FOV Calc
3) and then drag and drop the folder with all the files onto vpk.exe (located in the left 4 deadbin folder). This will create your own custom .vpk file, which you can put into the addons folder.

If you really want it to be slick, you could update the addoninfo.txt file with your custom resolution, before turning it into a .vpk.

Cheers Timobkg, funny enough, around lunch time today I have nearly finished creating a L4D2 HUD Wiki, complete with instructions. ;)
Feel free to cast your eyes on this...

I plan also to add a tf2 hud wiki and alien swarm also as each are very similar but have slight different tweaks to make the modifications work. :D

the vpk for HUD fix is not compatible with valve's new "The Sacrifice" update...

Make sure you are not using an offcial dedicated server, use 3rd party or local servers.

Guys are you sure bezel compensation is working on this app? I've created a custom mod for my resolution (6048x1080) and some elements are hidden behind bezels. If I change in game resolution to 5760x1080 it looks perfect.
