Monitors that will and won't run at 5040x1050 @ 57hz
Updated the List today.
Will try and answer some queries...sorry it's been a while.
If it's on the list someone must have got it to work. Try it at the single 1680x1050@57hz res as listed a few posts down in this thread and see where you get. If it works, it's likely an issue with the drivers you're using or software version of the GXM. Try the different beta versions.
Keep your eyes on the thread. Until someone who has the monitor confirms one way or the other, there's not a lot I or anyone else can say to help unfortunately.
Very odd. I would be surprised if running the monitor at 57hz actually damaged it so it eventually just gave up. And even if it did, there should be symptoms beforehand. Whether you get another is your call, but if the side monitors aren't failing, and they're for all intense purposes doing the exact same job as your centre monitor, then it sounds like a problem with that specific monitor or the cabling.
DANG IT! Really?!
EDIT: I just tested out using the testfound HERE and it seems to be working OK at 1680x1050 @ 57hz (single monitor).
I'm on an 8800GTX by he way.
If you can get it working at 1680x1050@57hz, I still can't see any reason why it wouldn't work at 5040. We haven't had any conclusive proof either way, but I'd guess that if you can get it to work at 1680, then all you need to do is put some fiddling in with the driver and software combinations. Again it's your call, but I'd give it a shot.
Same answer as I gave the last person I'm afraid. Sit tight and watch this space. Hopefully someone can let you know! :onethumb

Just bought the LG L227wtg, NOT WORKING. I didn't see any success stories other than just it's on the list. Any owners with advice on how to set it up? Reloaded drivers for the GTX 285 and beta powerdesk.

SamSung 2333SW Works for awhile.
I have had the 3 working at 57Hz for awhile. Problem is the center monitor has for the 2nd time stop working. The monitor doesnt even see the digital cable connected anymore and will not work at any resolution with TH2G or not. The other 2 2333SW are still working. Lets see if Best Buy takes this one back to. Not sure if I should try another.

Not sure about these particular montiors... I've seen some of the 24" models have problems... I have two BenQ G2000W monitors that are supposedly able to handle 1680x1050 themselves, as well as a BenQ FP202W that I can run 1680x1050 without problems. Can anyone confirm if they're known to work or not?

Benq E2400HD (VGA) - Does this mean these monitors won't work in DVI mode guys?!
Monitors that will and won't run at 5040x1050 @ 57hz
Well I just purchased 2 Acer X223W's from Newegg and I can confirm that they will not work at 5040x1050@57Hz.
I need t buy 2 more monitors and so I come to this site and see that the LG L227WTG is on the known working list. Then I read the post above from KF6SVJ and he says they don't work. I was a click away from buying these monitors and now I don't know which to believe?
When a monitor has specs that show Horizontal refresh rate @ 30 - 83kHz and Vertical refresh rate @ 56 - 75Hz shouldn't that mean it will work at 57 Hz? Or is that the wrong spec to look at?
Man you would think a company like Matrox that charges $300 for a splitter box would at least give you a list of known working monitors.
So can someone tell me if the LG works. I haven't seen an update from KF6SVJ so I wonder if he got them to work?
Man this sucks trying to find the right monitor!!!!

Ok, I have confirmed that the BenQ FP202W AND BenQ G2000W are able to run 5040x1050 without any foreseeable problems.

If they work properly in 1680x1050 mode at 57Hz...
but there is a problem with these ... they are FullHD 16:9 so the picture would be distorted ...
The max resolution is three monitors at 1680x1050@57Hz and these are 16:10!

running at 5040x1050 like a charm!

Philips 220CW9 not working
I set up TH2G with 3x Philips 220CW9. I had it working on 5040x1050 however all of a sudden the middle monitor turned into kind of demonstration phase. It showed a vertical whit stripe, moving from left to right, with tekst Smartimage off and smartimage on on either side. It always seemed to happen with the middle monitor. During this stage, the OSD could not be used, neither could the monitor beeing switched off.
