ok it seems if you have a lot of quests the quest journal bugs out.
creaating a new character with no quests and it works fine, but soon as you have a few quests you get this:

This is exactly what initially happened to me when I tried to use it. After reading through all the replies on this thread, I realized I hadn't updated my game yet. My exe file had the wrong revision. Once I updated, it worked beautifully. Although, as Helifax noted, increasing the FoV for that resolution should help some too.

Quick question. I've got the
Quick question. I've got the steam fix, and in the WSF I set my uncorrected resolution to 3950X720, with a FOV of 120 degrees.
Am I supposed to leave the uncorrected resolution at my desktop resolution, and change the actual games resolution in the .ini? Because right now everything works except for the quest log, which I was under the impression would work at the resolution I'm using. Thanks in advance.

Yes. The limitation comes from the game engine:)

Whatever parameters I put on
Whatever parameters I put on the program, the tool just applies a very broad FoV (100 or more). Even if I put very low number as FOV: 5, 15, 30, whatever, it still applies a huge value. I would like a less agressive wide angle.

Hmmm... I think I'm missing
Hmmm... I think I'm missing something here. I turned the uncorrected resolution back to 5760X1080 in the WSF, and I found a "personal" configuration settings file in the Reckoning folder in My Games. I changed the resolution to 3950 (display width) and 720 (display height). I also turned the display fullscreen to = 1 (I was originally playing in a 1920X1080 window). When I went in to the game the quest log still wasn't working. It showed a few of the titles for the quests, and I seem to be able to mouse over them, but there was no information other than that (the famed red line was still present). I went in to the resolution settings in-game just to take a peek and it said it was at 2400X600 (although I'm guessing it might just not tell me the proper resolution since I changed it outside the game). When I first launch the game the steam buttons that pop up on the bottom right DO look lower res, so something is working, I just don't know if it's a good type of working or not.
Is that the right file to modify? Or is there a different one (maybe in my steam folder) hidden away somewhere that I need to change instead?

I think the quest log is still broken

Problem with fix
Guys, I have a little problem. Every time I apply the fix the game crashes to desktop. Any ideas what I can do to repair? I am using the origin version I haven't changed any of the default fix settings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
