List updated to reflect information in the new posts. As much information about the behaviour of the monitor whether it's working or not is much appreciated !

I have added the list to the first post in the thread and edited it for (i hope) clarity.
@allanstrings: I hope you don't mind me messing about with your posts. HUGE props and thank you's for creating the thread in the first place and I hope you can forgive the intrusion :)

For monitors that appear to work at 1680x1050, but not 5040x1050, I see no hardware reason for this and would implore users to try software solutions first. If you have exhausted all options then let us know, as this may well be the case for some monitors. Would be good to find out for sure one way or the other 8)

I have the Acer P223W and I can confirm that it DOES work at triple 1650x1050. I had to choose "Display resolutions that this monitor does not support" in Windows, but it's a rock solid display and I've had no problems with the screen scaling or being the wrong resolution.

Given all the other problems with Acer reported here, I'm rather surprised, so I thought it would be useful to have a positive report for this monitor, at least.

Hi Ereth

There are various P223W models in the market vga only and vga/DVI input.

I have the Acer P223W VGAonly, without DVI input and 1680x1050@57 does not work. Also triple 1680x1050 does not work.

I have tried all the ways proposed in this forum , included creating a new 1680x1050@57hz in nvidia control panel, the result is a blank screen and frequency not supported monitor warning.

Does you Acer P223W has DVI input?
Do you use DVI to DVI or DVI(adapter) to VGA cable on it for the triple configuration?

Regards

No, mine is DVI. I haven't bought a VGA-only monitor in many years.

I wouldn't think a VGA-DVI cable would work at all, and I would never consider hooking an analog-only monitor to the TripleWidescreen Digital Edition.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I was just curious if anybody ever tried to change your refresh rate by using the Rivatuner utilty? I use it for overclocking, fan speeds, and temp monitoring, it does have a screen size and refresh option as well.

I can confirm that the Samsung 2243bwx's do work with 5040x1050 at 57hz, you will get the optimal range message, push the menu button and it goes away.

Edit: Hmm, I think I found some but I can't buy them new. :(

New 22" Monitor Valid 5040x1050 @ 57hz TH2GO configurations.

LG Flatron W2252TQ

For you information:

* :( :( :( Acer P223W VGA input only doesn´t work 5040x1050 @ 57hz
* :D :D :D LG Flatron W2252TQ Yes it works fine at 5040x1050 @ 57hz

I have one Acer P223W and two LG Flatron W2252TQ with the TH2GO.

When I active the 5040x1050 @ 57hz The two Lg looks fine, OSD information 1680x1050@57 perfect image no OSD advice, all OK but the Acer P223W shows 1280x1024 (OSD info) blurry image also all the image moved to the left with black spaces in two corners. If I isolate the acer for test porpouse ( only the acer conected to the TH2GO) when I force it to 1680x1050@57 the Monitor shows black screen.

Becareful with the Acer P223W. Analog vga only input version don´t support 5040x1050 @ 57hz configuration.

Hope this help to future buyers.

VideoSeven L22WD working at 57!

Post by Valk »

V7 or "VideoSeven" L22WD confirmed working (ive got 3 of them) at 57hz on my TH2G digital.

These monitors were first released three years ago but can still be purchased from Play.com (UK) for around £130.

They have silver bezels which are also quite thin when compared to some other 22" monitors. e.g my friends 22" HansG is 19mm each side!

They have both VGA and DVI connections but of course only the DVI connection will work with 57hz on your TH2G

One note: I followed instructions on this forum in order to get 5040 x 1050 to work by creating a custom 1680 x 1050 res in the Nvidia advanced settings and then setting the advanced bits the same as this image http://img390.imageshack.us/img390/923/5040ux1.jpg
"Guys, we have a solution:

1. Set res to 1680x1050
2. Set Timing to CVT reduced blank (to set correct pixel clock)
3. Set Timing to manual
3. Then input manual values shown in attached jpg."

Im using Win XP and the latest Nvidia drivers.

Just bought the LG L227wtg, NOT WORKING. I didn't see any success stories other than just it's on the list. Any owners with advice on how to set it up? Reloaded drivers for the GTX 285 and beta powerdesk.

SamSung 2333SW Works for awhile.

I have had the 3 working at 57Hz for awhile. Problem is the center monitor has for the 2nd time stop working. The monitor doesnt even see the digital cable connected anymore and will not work at any resolution with TH2G or not. The other 2 2333SW are still working. Lets see if Best Buy takes this one back to. Not sure if I should try another.

PROBLEM MODEL:
Acer AL2216W

I'm going to be selling these monitors, are there any good/cheap 22'' monitors you guys can recommend? That are confirmed working 1680x1050 @ 57hz of course! Thanks!

DANG IT! Really?!

Thats the monitor I have and was looking over eBay to get two more before I ordered a DTH2G. :-(

EDIT: I just tested out using the testfound HERE and it seems to be working OK at 1680x1050 @ 57hz (single monitor).

I'm on an 8800GTX by he way.

NONE THE LESS, I'm too concerned over it actually working in DTH2G setup since someone reported it. Dagum... Getting THREE MONITORS and the th2g unit may be too big a leap at this point financially. :-(

Benq E2400HD

1680x1050 57 only works with vga and the 57hz will mess up the quality badly.
