Well, if you're using v1.0, it's going to be that way. If you look at the changelog, you'll see that I didn't add HUD centering for triplehead MP until v1.3 of the game.

Ah cool, I thought you meant it was added in v1.3 of the Widescreen fixer program. Thanks :)

... ... dopefish has fixed the aspect ratio problem for us ... 8) ... he's a good fish !

These were taken using the default FOV of 65 ... no need to change the FOV !

Download the tool here ...

http://imk.cx/pc/widescreenfixer/

Choose the game and the aspect ratio from the drop down menu ...

Start the game ...
IMPORTANT ... go to ... Options ... Graphics Options ... set the Aspect Ratio to 4:3
Press the ... ; key (semicolon) to enable the fix ...

:D

I do not manage to put it like your Engo to version fixer v1.41.1 and I put it in the configuration that you say, I select the game .... 15:4 (3x 5; 4 surround) Game running: Yes Fix enable: Not (it can be this the failure) In options of graph of the game 3840*1024 in 4:3 And the weapon is seen very big for that not coje the configuration Which is my failure? Certainly my English one is very bad. I sit it

I tried to play online with COD4 version 1.5 and the corrsponding widescreenfixer. I got kicked by PB 3 times. Went back to original settings and played fine.

I am receiving the same. I am at work currently so I do not have access to the game nor the exact error message I received. I received a temporary kick for my troubles by PB. I have since submitted a trouble ticket to punk buster to find out if there is anything on their end that they can do to re-allow this awesome application.

Sorry for the newb question coming up but when u say it works online with 1.4, is 1.4 the patch for cod4 or is it an update patch for th2go. If it's a patch for the game then I guess there are not much servers running an older patch if 1.5 is out.

Once again sry if my question reflects my lack of knowledge about th2g and cod4

I'm going to a LAN this Saturday and I just heard from the admin that the COD4 server they are going to run will not have punkbuster enabled. YAY

PS. Why were [EDIT]all[/EDIT] of dopefish's posts edited to the :?: thing? Maybe its the computer I'm on; I'm in the engineering departments computer lab, and for some reason they thought it was a good idea to have a lab full of older than dirt Sun Microsystems computers running Unix.

Not sure if Dopefish will see this but here is the response I received back from PunkBuster's tech support:

Note #2: There was a version of this particular application that did result in a violation, as the way it was coded was not allowed. That was back in November of '07, and the developer worked with us to address the issue. It has since been corrected, and you should be alright. It is in your best interest to check the forums for each version that is released before using it to be sure, as we don't verify the developer's releases for him.

The problem is that my initial ticket to them was regarding the legality of using the software as opposed to me telling them that I had used it, and was subsequently kicked by PB. To be honest, I have see PB kick myself and others for unexplainable things in the past. It wouldn't surprise me if I was kicked for some other crazy glitch related to PB itself.

I will probably be away from my personal computer for sometime to come which hinders my ability to conduct further testing. I would really appreciate it if anyone who believes using this application results in a kick after the 1.5 CoD4 patch to please reply back along with a direct copy/paste of the error message so that I can press the matter further with PunkBuster.

Going to update my ticket with punk buster to see if it is something on their end which they can fix to allow the program to continue to work in online play. Thanks a ton for the error message. :)

edit* 2-28-08: No response yet to my ticket from PB.

Think it should be said that unfortunately Dopefish has spat his dummy out after a disagreement and is therefore unlikely to post any support about his widescreen fixer on these forums anymore.

A good bet would be to check his site http://www.imk.cx/pc/widescreenfixer/ and try and contact him through there, but it has also not been updated for some time. :(

Not sure I understand what you said? But that is a huge bummer for those of us who appreciated his work.

I wasn't sure on the phrase myself so I had to look it up. I believe its another way of saying he threw a fit.

Dopefish's argument/disagreement is not against WSGF and he is still supporting the community. Users don't have to worry about that. His excellent work will still continue and I'm glad that people appreciate his contributions. It would be a great loss for the community without his work.

Perhaps his choice of actions in the insiders forum that led to people believing he "threw in a fit" was a bit hasty, but the reasons he had was valid IMHO. This will be resolved on a mod/administrator level.:)

Have a bit patience and things will work out for the best.
