NFS: Carbon widescreen request/solutions

now all we need is a way to get that 911 gt3 rs, because next to nobody is going to beat an ea mod in an online race

No, it`s not streched. It`s working good in 1440x900, the only problem is that I can`t set resolution smaller than 1440, like 960x600, although the aspect ratio is correct. The game crashes. So maximum or nothing. The game runs not that smooth in that resolution because of my video card. :?

The same problem with my carbon. I have Samsung BW940 and in 1440x900 Carbon look ok but framerate is below 20fps so its shit to play it, and when I change resolution to 1024x640 I start the game it crashes...
Anyone help?? I have nVidia 6800LE @ 16,6 400/900.

I paly in widescreen mode 1280x768 (powered by uniws - just copied data from nfsu2 in .ini file).

Is there way to disable computer "help" in drift races?

damien loook in the 'reward cards' screen. hit '2' (I think) to get to the 'online rewards' screen. you need 4 cards to unlock the 911 GT3 RS, one of which is to beat an EA mod in an online race. i wish you good luck!!!! great luck !!!

there is also Pagani zonda F, koenigsegg CCX and infinity G35, but i have no idea how to unlock :cry: :cry: :cry:

Hi guys!

This UniWS program is very good, I can run my Razor1911 Carbon in 1440x900, and it looks very nice. But. I'd like to buy the original collectors edition. I read here someones post that UniWs can't patch the original version of the game, so it cannot be played in 16:10. Is this true? Anybody here who plays with the original CE, and managed to play it in 16:10? I hope somebody can answer me, it would be very important to know.

The UniWS with Razor1911 crack works for me except it always crashes on certian races :( When I go back to the original exe it doesn't crash.

Any ideas?

The Razor version's crack maybe bad, because everybody has freezing and quitting problems with the game, in hungary though. There should be a proper crack once. But the widescreen thing works fine with Razor. Do you have the game in original? Does the widescreen thing works with original game? I'll get the game tomorrow, i'm just called by the shop :).

Yes I have the original Collectors Edition. UniWS only seems to work on the Razor1911 cracked exe, but this causes the game to crash so i'm stuck playing in 4:3.

Can anyone recommend a good gaming wheel for about Ã‚Â£50? Is the Logitech Formula Force Ex worth getting? My logitech wingman joystick is at deaths door after all those police chases in NFS MW :twisted:

hi mate ive signed in the online thing when the game boots up but were do i find the races to race the guys

is their a lobby or sumat

I just got my original Collectors Edition :)). It works fine, but the only problem is that it can't be hacked with uniws, so there is not 16:10 :(. I honestly hope that someday EA will make a ws patch, or some wiseguy develops a method that'll work with the original too. We, pc gamers deserve the best :)). Ain't that right?

so..

fps max 35
fps average 15-20

damn what is that??

i was playing MW all maxed w/o a glitch??!!

i heard that nvidia cards had lagging and slowing down issues with NFS carbon..
is that true??

What nvidia driver do you use? Try to update to the newest. By the way, do you have the original game?

gnagna2000 has released a 1.2 collectors ed. trainer
lots of features but most important unlock ALL CARS INCLUDING the porsche GT3 RS and all the other 'online reward' cars

Yesterday i read on a hungarian pcgamer magazine's website that they have information about EA will built the widescreen monitors' support into Carbon in the future. I hope in the near future. Let's pray it ain't a lie.

I used the UniWS patcher and yes it does give you widescreen but the image is stretched, it does not give you the FOV benefit of Widescreen monitor.

1024 x 768

Using UniWS at 1440x900

It will have to do for now.

Well you can kind of simulate the FOV change by zooming out to the next view. I know it's not the same, but it'll let you see more.

well,

i tried UniWS patcher on my razors1911 cracked carbon and it works!!

BUT..

game still suffers from lagging, & crashing..

on normal .EXE file game does not crash..

the game still need a specific crack that of NFS:MW..

and i still waiting for it!!

It looks like the UniWS patcher only streches the hud. The car and world look fine to me.
