thanks kayden lemme know if you find anything.

Well i verified its definitely glass armor.
the hands fov does nothing for the image. the world fov does a "little" with the world at 90 it wasnt just the tiny triangles and a little bit more i could see the armor on the whole bottom of the screen, switched world fov to 50 and it was even less than in my video but still pretty noticable, not better enough to be worth the drop in fov. unequipping glass armor fixes it instantly. but its the best armor i have by a landslide, and its regens magika +30%. so i really dont want to switch..

[quote][quote]what the crap. ive been using .4a from hayden for days. and i fire it up today and the map doesnt work, same prob other describe with mouse being on right screen to highlight map and totally off. seriously ive been using .4a.. and ive definitely used the map..

switching to .4b to see what happens.....

I'm pretty sure the difference is charactor specific, something in-game... either a quest completed or a skill.. it changes the values somehow...

Hence the two version... So yes, if one version suddenly appears to stop working, try the other version, it shouldn't be a constant switchero tho.

like a charm it works.
.4b now running great. played for a few hours on it. i actually like the spanned screens for the map anyway since the map is so damn huge, its nice to see it across the screens.

Just had this happen, too. 4a map was working great then it wasn't. 4b was no good either. Had to go back to 3. (Just updated to 11.11b. Wonder if that had something to do with it?)

Hey, HaYDeN

Thanks for the work on the fixes. I can actually see my gold and encumbrance now! However, none of the fixes up to 0.4b are centered on my screen. I am using two 1024x768 projectors to get a 2048x768 widescreen without a terribly noticeable seam.

In all three of the latest files, setting the number of monitors to 2 will have the UI fill the rightmost screen at the proper aspect ratio. When I set it to 3 monitors, the UI will be centered, but will be quite squished. I have to leave the auto-detect resolution on or the UI will extend off the bottom of the screen.

Let me know if you would like any further info on my case and experiences with the fix.

There are a few of us with similar problems to you (but using 3 screens, not 2). In my case, I run 6048x1080 (bezel corrected) but if I manually force that res in Hayden's fix, the game loads as if there is no fix at all, everything is in the wrong place as per a vanilla install for 3 screens. If I use auto detect, it runs fine, but some of the text/bars/whatever disappears into the bezels.

im level 21 and where im at im starting to encounter more and more glass items.
i think imma waste a few levels and pull the chump move of buying mad ingots and just making a ton of daggers and crap just to level so i can make and upgrade more stuff hah

Try forcing res in the fix software and then in game use "+" and "-" to re-enable the fix.

Can anyone help? The menus extend into the portion of the image that's covered up by bezel compensation on both the left and right side of the center screen.

Yeah I have the same problem at 3944x1600 (three 1600x1200 PPP's):

The way that the offset is

Post by HaYDeN »

The way that the offset is calculated is by taking the horizontal resolution and deviding it by 3 - this hack is primarly designed around triple wide in landscape.

Why on earth you would wish to try and cram that menu which is designed to be displayed on NO LESS than 5:4 into something even smaller than a 5:4 aspect ratio (eg. 0.75 assuming I read your post correctly) is somewhat confusing to me...

There is no way you are going to get the menu to display in a usable state on a single monitor on a aspect ratio of 0.75, even 640x480 is 1.33

If you are intent on trying however, you need to modify the Monitor number (its a float, change it to 3.1 or 3.2 for example, or 2.9 or 2.8 until you get the desired effect) - altho this may result in it not filling the entire width, eg if you go 5760 / 4 you would get 1440 offset left, 1440 GUI width and 1440 offset right, for a total width of 4320..

The Steam Overlay doesn't work for me... With or without Eyefinity fix. Dunno why. It never worked, although the popups for "Screenshot made" and the achievements work just fine... Really strange...

New Nvidia drivers are out.

Post by Kayden »

New Nvidia drivers are out. Which can be found here:

http://www.geforce.com/News/articles/nvidia-geforce-290-36-beta-drivers-released

They do include an update to Skyrim.

The drivers also add official support for Ambient Occlusion in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I am installing now and will post if I see any other improvements.

Thanks for that Kayden, downloading and installing now, curious to see improvements in BF3 specifically. Skyrim runs just fine so I'll report if they broke anything.

Post by Kayden »

No prob Cinnabuns. I haven't seen any improvement with Skyrim, nor did it hurt anything either so that's good. I haven't tried BF3 because there are just a ton of problems with it and I haven't looked at it since Skyrim came out  . I did try Batman Arkham City, now if anyone was hoping it would fix the DX11 situation, sadly it does not. I ran in DX11 and DX9 modes, and saw no appreciable improvement, in the benchmarks sadly :( .

EDIT: Also you have to do the fix as mentioned before by helifax to get Ambient Occlusion working if you are using the LAA fix. I tried it and it worked just fine. Here is his description on what to do:

Ok, after a bit of fooling around:)) I managed to make the 4GB version to use the nVidia 3D Profile and SLI compatibility bits:

1. Download and install nVidia Inspector
2. Start Nvidia Inspector
3. Go to the driver profile settings
4. Select the Elder Scrolls V Skyrim profile
5. Click the button that says "add application to current profile" (small icon of a window with a plus-sign)
6. Navigate to your Skyrim installation and select TESV.exe
7. Before hitting OK in the Filename field append ".4gb" so the result should be "TESV.exe.4gb"
8. HIT OK
9. HIT "Apply changes"
10. Play the GAME

AGAIN THIS VALID ONLY FOR THOSE WITH nVIDIA cards in SLI and 3D VISION (SURROUND)

My 8 months GTX 590 just died

Post by helifax »

My 8 months GTX 590 just died last night...really frustrating...
After several attempts to resuscitate it...it finally went down in flames... (not actual flames..just the pop-corn sparks:)))

To bad I'm stuck now only on my Alienware...

Now for the interesting part: Even if you have it like me on watercooling...NEVER EEEVEER change the damn 0.938 voltage....it will not burn instantly...only after a couple of months (maybe 8, maybe more, maybe less).... while the temperature remains in max 70 degrees on 100% load on both GPUs (25 degrees lower than upper limit on air ). So as you can see it is the damn VRM problem again...

Tomorrow is coming my new one.. (yes another GTX 590 as it is an awesome card + once you tested 3D Surround..well you can't get it out) ...
I am posting here from work and kinda hard to search for the correct section and since many people read here I said to give them a fair warning : "If your card is overclocked+overvoltaged return to STOCK ASAP ;)) "

I've started to have a strange issue, all 3D models for my inventory have become really tiny. No idea what i did to shrink them, but you can hardly see them at all. not an issue yet, but if I have to examine an item for a puzzle, I'll be lost. Anyone have an idea what controls this?

edit, found out my lock pick screen is really small as well.

This happens with triplewide fixes or without, so I've somehow changed something in my .ini, but no idea what
