I'm still using 0.3. The skills are a bit broekn, but everything else works well.

Those 11.11b drivers are not from an official source. If they are still giving negative CF scaling, my bet is they are bogus. Lets not jump to any conclusions regarding AMD's competence based on a "leaked" driver which may well be someone's attempt at humor by rebadging an old driver.

Game has not been out two weeks, and a two week cycle is about the minimum one could be expected to make a patch release in a commercial production environment. The link in the developers blog was unrelated to the linked driver when I checked last night.

Hayden's 0.4A is working beautifully for me. My only complain is that my resolution is 4272 x 768 with bezel compensation, and the left most side of the hud (small part of the item menu etc.) gets hidden in the bezel region that's not displayed by the monitors, Is there anyway to reposition the HUD a bit to the right?

Hey Hayden, can you shed some light on this?

The download links lead to the official AMD download server and the driver is available via the website: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/catalyst-1111b-performance.aspx

They weren't up when he first posted the link. Thank you.

Just performed a fairly detailed test of crossfire performance with 11.11b.

*Test system: [email protected], 8G, Win7-64, 2xSapphire Radeon 6850
*Tests recorded frame rates at high and ultra* settings, using RadeonPro w/ Oblivion profile.
*1920x1080 Resolution (Returned one of new monitors for defect, not currently running Eyefinity.)
*Skyrim installation patched as of 11/26/11 (.ini tweak to fix shadows, no other mods)
*Baseline 11.11 (not a) drivers. The "a" rev caused problem with another game.
*Drivers were removed with AMD installer, then followed with Driver Sweeper to ensure clean.

11.11-High Detail
---------------
*Inside- 60fps
*Whiterun- 35-50fps
*Plains(outside WR gate to right)- 50fps
RadeonPo reports 90%/50%(imbalanced?) utilization of both gpus.

11.11-Ultra Detail (Shadows High)
-----------------------------
*Inside- 60fps
*Whiterun- 30-45fps
*Plains(outside WR gate to right)- 45-50fps
RadeonPo reports 85%/50% (city) utilization of both gpus.
RadeonPo reports 50%/50% (plains) utilization of both gpus.

11.11b-High Detail
-----------------------------
*Inside- 60fps
*Whiterun- 35-50fps
*Plains(outside WR gate to right)- 55-60
RadeonPro reports 45%/35% (city) utilization of both gpus.
RadeonPro reports 50%/50% (plains) utilization of both gpus.
Minor, evenly spaced microstutter.
Menus are glitchy. Pointer hangs periodically.

11.11b-Ultra Detail (High Shadows)
-----------------------------
*Inside- 60fps
*Whiterun- 35-50fps
*Plains(outside WR gate to right)- 45-50
RadeonPro reports 35%/35% (city) utilization of both gpus.
RadeonPro reports 60%/60% (plains) utilization of both gpus.
Minor, evenly spaced microstutter.
Menus are glitchy. Pointer hangs periodically.

11.11b-Crossfire off
-----------------------------
*Inside- 60fps
*Whiterun- 35-50fps
*Plains(outside WR gate to right)- 45-55
RadeonPro reports 90%/0%
Menus are smooth again.

Summary:
*11.11b Drivers provide no improvement at normal 1920x1080 resolution. They reintroduce minor microstuter and menu pointer hangs occasionally.

*New drivers report significantly lower GPU utilization, but same performance. Not sure if Radeon Pro is reporting gpu utilization correctly.

*Disabling crossfire nets same performance minus microstutter.

*Fail

like a charm it works.
.4b now running great. played for a few hours on it. i actually like the spanned screens for the map anyway since the map is so damn huge, its nice to see it across the screens.

I think 11.11b should still be fine if you once again just disable crossfire in CCC.

not your fault, I was messing with 11.11a when they posted it to their KB and was waiting for them to post 11.11b. You just helped us find out faster that AMD dropped the ball again with these drivers.

one more update with my .4b

one more update with my .4b switch, everything seems great still. my only real complaint is the mission markers arent too great. if you stand with it directly north of you its spot on, but as you rotate it moved farther and farther off, and at times can be a pretty significant amount away. ive run to the wrong doors and wrong people a few times. but im getting used to it and now i just strafe around a bit to make sure im looking at it dead on and then it usually makes sense.

*also i had my first C2D in quite some time. and of Course it was when i was inthe same area transition for like 30 min running around talking to everyone, getting quests and doing stuff. not saying where for possible spoiler reasons heh. but it was my first c2d in about 4.5hrs of play.

I am concerned that AMD thinks they have fixed the crossfire issue and will move on and not address this. Possibily it will work in concert with an upcoming patch from Bethesda?

My configuration is very common, I would think that getting same-brand 6850s to run the game on crossfire would be easy to reproduce and test.

Either they are being disingenuous, or have a test/validation problem.

Can anyone help? The menus extend into the portion of the image that's covered up by bezel compensation on both the left and right side of the center screen.

im just playing skyrim with no bezel comp :P

hey anyone else getting visual anomalys with certain armor on ultra wide?
when i look down even slightly the armor itself shows up on my screen, ive had a bunch of light armors and never had any issues but i recently equipped glass armor and this was instantly noticable.
heres a quick few second video of what im talking about. you an see when im looking up high you cant see it, but when i look even just a bit down from standard forward view it appears. playable of course, but it definitely gets really annoying.

im not sure if its just a game bug with ultra wide or a fov issue, havnt messed around a ton yet. if anyone has any ideas of how to make this better let me know and if i find anything ill post it

*look at the far right and left sides, you can see these armor pieces coming in to view, tops are triangles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFwW84jK2so

and yes i have a number of visual mods to make the textures look better ;)

Whats your FOV? I will try to reproduce it to, I have quite a few mods myself.
