HERE OR ANYWHERE.

Dude, it's not gone, it's taken down because of the fact it doesn't always work and it's recognised by norton as a keylogger.

ps. i think your Caps Lock is stuck.

hiya...without your magic crack of resolution for NFS my setup will never realise its full power.

now i can enjoy this game in 2560x1600 with all settings maxed out.
but one bad thing is that my GT4 PS2 wheel can't support this game :(
i can control the wheel but not the pedal :(

Yeah theres a new patch out, version 1.3. Could someone possibly do the same thing for 1600x1000 settings (or whatever 16:10 is) for me as a trainer or a save for that program?

Sorry, for the previously broken images, my personnal server had lost his WiFi connection to my router and my playing rig is wired to the server, with an alias in the hosts file to direct me to the local IP of the server. So I can not spot if the server external connection is up or down.

Anyway, what was explained just above is exactly what should be done. Here is how I did it with ArtMoney.

1 - Start ArtMoney
2 - Start NFSMW
3 - Set res to 800x600
4 - Alt+tab to ArtMoney
5 - Using the left button, search for 800
6 - Alt+Tab to NFSMW
7 - Set res to 1024x768
8 - Alt+tab to ArtMoney
9 - Using the second button, filter for 1024
10 - you should 10 to 20 matchings fields, pass all of them to the right part of the screen using the arrow in the middle
11 - Using the left button again, search for 768.
12 - Alt+Tab to NFSMW
13 - Set res to 800x600
14 - Alt+Tab to ArtMoney
15 - Using the second button, filter for 600. Again, you'll get from 10 to 20 matching fields
17 - Pass them on the right side of the screen.
18 - Replace all 800 by 1680 and 600 by 1050 (or your prefered screen res)
19 - Alt+Tab to NFSMW
20 - Enjoy

Actually, the FOV is 100% correct. The streched UI is the only "prob" but you'll quickly get used to it. Actually, it feels weird at the beginning if you've played with the 4:3 version. I'm at 49% game completion so far and when switching to 16:10, I had trouble finding the info on the screen because it was to wide :) ... or just wider than I was used to.

When I played the demo, I played exclusively in 16:10 and had no prob playing.

Apparently I just don't 'get it' because now my in game resolution will go no higher than 800X600 and Art Money says 'NO' in the resolution columns :?:

Another Game?

I purchased NFSMW but I'm considerin greturning it. My time to play is very limited and I don't want to spent it working on cracks. Can anyone recommend a car game that supports Widescreen (1280x720) out of the box?

World Racing 2 supports widescreen res right out the box.
There are 2 demos available so you can give it a try.

I tried the WR2 Honda Civic 2006 Demo and though it supported widescreen, the aspect ratio wasn't correct, objects were stretched horizontally even though there was 1:1 pixel mapping @ 1920x1200.

NFSMW is much more fun, as an arcade racer. If I wanted a simulation racer I'd go all out and play GT4 on the PS2. Still haven't seen a PC game that comes close.

As for widescreen in NFSMW, I hope we get a less tedious solution, as memory editing is far too indepth for a mass-audience type game such as this. Until then I'll just keep on keepin' on with my stretched but still beautiful 1600x1200.

hey

i have a major problem. NFSMW wont start on my 20" ACD (just stops loading the game after like 3secs after double clicking), but when I try it on my old 19" CRT it works fine.

I am certain that it would certainly work if the game would start at the native resolution (1680x1050), because this monitor is quite selective when it chooces what resolutions it chooces to support.

So in order for NFSMW to work i need to get a patch that starts the game at 1680x1050.

Can anyone hack it for me?

EDIT: yeah i tried all the hacks and stuff and they worked on my crt (the quick patch didnt work tho, but ArtMoney did) on my CRT

There's a thread somewhere to help you choose the correct setting to fix the aspect ratio.

I do agree but this is the only 'recent' racing game I know which support WS right out of the box. The rendering is OK but not perfect and as advanced as NFSMW and the gameplay is way lower ... but its a game respecting its buyer.

Very close guys, it corrupts my whole screen pretty 99% of the time. Nice try though, and maybe this works for other games as well. Also, it seems to me texture quality is that of 800x600 graphics, so everything looks kinda flat. That'd be fine, but the corruption causes me not to be able to see the game at all 99.9% of the time, so it's a no go. The message has been sent by me though to EA: I'm not buying this game, or recommending it.

So you're trying it out first huh  . Maybe i should start doing that too when i get my widescreen back to prevent me from buying games which don't support widescreen.

Yeah, let's say I'm test driving it. Actually, I'm not anymore anyway, I'm sick of it. This isn't as good as Pro Evolution Soccer for me to put up with its crap, quite frankly.

I know what you mean, when i had my widescreen monitor for a couple of weeks ago, i played Most Wanted for about a half hour. It was hidious. Ofcourse, that was before the widescreen sollution, so i haven't tested that.
