Check this out. Someone apparently found hundreds of hidden .ini variables. Some of the more interesting ones i saw scanning thru the post were things like
Finventory3dMenuZoomScale
FAllow30Shaders
Various menu related scaling options etc (such as main menu etc)
I wonder if these new ini variables could be manipulated to enhance the multi screen experience?
Btw ive been using HaYDens .4 release and loving it !!
yep this is what we were all looking for
we probably wont need these patches soon, with commands like zooming inventory and whatnot
[Interface]
on: bShowInventory3D=1
off: bShowInventory3D=0
i'm at work now so can't check the 1400 odd commands but i'm sure there will be scaling of the INV somewhere.
just type "saveini" in the console to get the list., do a backup first though.
P.S: Can anyone post that list of 1400 commands here for those of us at work ?
Here is all 1400

Actually, this problem seems to go much deeper. After the update, I'm on Mount Anthor, and when I kill the dragon it does not absorb his soul. Also when I walk up to the mantel, I do not learn a word.
I have tried hayden's .3, .4a, .4b, old exe, new exe, with laa, without laa, nothing works now. The update must have busted something BAD for me. I'm real pissed at Bethesda right now.

From what I've read, people are unable to run the game directly from TESV.exe(after the patch). I can still run it, but I think it's because I turned off auto update in Steam.
What I've noticed, though, is that running hayden's 4b now, all 3 monitors go black and refuse to respond. I have to hard reboot.
I'll try 4a for a bit. It's happening on the map. 100% sure of that.

Well, seems I'm not the only person having trouble with Mount Anthor. There is a quest that requires you to go there, and if you go without the quest, seems killing the dragon causes the game to bug? I'm not positive yet but I'm getting real tired of these things.

It sounds like the best thing to do for now is to not allow Skyrim to update at all.
hint: the pirated version has no issues at all.. and it does not need steam to play the game..

what a mess.
I'm absolutely certain that the original TESV.exe is broken as walking inside of a building will net you with no textures loading. The new TESV.exe is crashing like crazy. I wrote a nice, long, rather upset email to Bethesda regarding this.
I actually purchased this on DVD then activated it in Steam. So I may just remove it from Steam, install it as it's own installation, and never let it update.

Been launching directly from TESV.exe since using the UI hacks. I'm too afraid to ever use the launcher now. :(

That's not so bad :). I had to kill a necromancer in a dungeon the other night, and the final room's door closes permanently behind you. You're "extracted" from the dungeon a different way. Well, that extraction didn't include Lydia. So when I didn't see her outside with me, I crawl back into the dungeon and arrive at the permanently sealed door... great. Open console, "TCL", fly through the door, "TCL", tell her to head on home (she runs up against the locked door and eventually fades), "TCL", fly back through the door, and "TCL" again to head on out. Luckily, Lydia arrived back at home awhile later.

For people trying to run AMD Eyefinity and Crossfire, AMD says that crossfire support will have to be a driver update and cannot be fixed with a crossfire profile. They released a new 11.11a driver today that disables crossfire for the game (no more manually removing card), and adds some performance improvements. It's not listed, yet, on their main driver page, but can be found here:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/Catalyst1111aperformance.aspx
Thanks! I have periodiaclly been trying crossfire, but the best I got was negative scaling. I am using one card now on lowered detail, but it works and looks good. Cant wait to crank everything to ultra.

Just finished a 3 hour play session with Hayden's v0.3 and its working great, no crashes, only the dark lockpick view and wonky skills trees.
My setup is simple, I'm runnign a single 6850 (crossfire disabled), high/ultra details with AA=2. FXAA=on, 5760x1080. System has 8GB although I have not used the LAA fix.
The only things I have modded are three lines in the .ini to fix shadows, and using Hayden's 0.3. I wonder why a subset of users are having crashes?

Copy the files in the folder "compiled_files" and run the exe. I'm testing it in depth now.
After fast traveling from city to city to place to city to place to mountain top and spinning all around, I can confirm that I am not getting any crashing with this fix. It seems to be working as a new LAA method for the patch (I have now disabled steam auto-patching).
For Steam users that got patched and need the LAA fix, download the file from megaupload that I linked, extract the contents of "compiled_files" to your /steam/steamapps/common/skyrim folder, the same folder with tesv.exe, and launch "fnv4gb.exe". This works with Hayden's 0.4a release, so I'm sure it does with all the others.
It seems it was written for Fallout New Vegas, and it was just modified for Skyrim. Whatever works! Effing Bethesda better not mess it up again.
Edit: I'd also note that the AMD 11.11a drivers did help single GPU performance just slightly, and I now can leave CrossFireX enabled in CCC since it tells the game to only use one GPU. Hopefully they get a full CrossFireX solution out soon.

Nice one Boink, thanks for posting the fix for people and letting us know your results.
Bethesda deserve a good upper-cut for their update, and another for their initial laziness.

I am confirming the same thing. Only thing to add is that the .03 of HaYDeN's fix is not effected by this either, picked it up and working just fine. Thanks boink! I knew it would only be a matter of time before some one did this, this was from fonv previously which is probably why it was so quick, either way I don't care it works.

I'm using Haydens 0.3 fix (thanks dude!) and it works great. Only problem is I'm getting crashes to desktop more often than I'd like. Usually when going through doors or any place that would require loading. The 0.4a and b both have map marker issues for me...

I have 2 6950's crossfired and installed the newer drivers hoping it would fix my crashing before I realized it was patched and did the fix listed here. Now I have that fixed and no crashing but my FPS has dropped considerably. Is there anythi9ng I can do to fix this? I assume its disabling one of my GPU's now when it seemed to work fine before. Any ideas? Still using the .3 fix as it works fine and didn't see any reason to try one of the newer versions and I assume those won't help my problem?
