Hi HAYDEN.
Would it be too much to ask you, to update the fix for RESIDENT EVIL 5 ??
It's been a while since the game has been updated and your fix stopped working.
Thank you.

Came here to report that yesterday's update of DOOM has caused the plugin to no longer function. I would really appreciate it if you could update the plugin for the new game version as I find your viewmodel FoV fix to be essential for me. Not sure why id didn't implement a dynamic viewmodel FoV themselves, I surely can't be the only one who has trouble seeing and playing when you have a gun up in your face as though you're playing with a 60 degree field of view.

Thanks for all your great work HaYDen.

DOOM is updated - not backward compatible with old version, the way it works is different, you may have to change the scale adjustment value... should now work on 16:10.
Resident Jester - Flawless Widescreen - Widescreen gaming the way it should be.

Thanks for all your hard work HaYDeN.
I have a request/challenge for you.
Would you be willing to look for widescreen/custom resolution solution for Dino Crisis or Metal Gear Solid?
I'd rather not emulate these games since PS1 has wobbly models and stretching textures.

HaYDeN, could you by any chance provide a Plugin for BF Hardline? The games SP Mode is actually quite nice (contrary to the MP experience) and I´d like to play it widescreen - the defaul fov of 60 is a damn joke and it is not adjustable for SP.

I found the necessary memory value because someone provided a fix via cheatengine - it works, but every change on the fov (like using iron sight or using sprint) resets the fov and you have to reactivate it....

Code: Select all

<Description>"pointerscan result"</Description>
      <LastState Value="60" RealAddress="086D0090"/>
      <VariableType>Float</VariableType>
      <Address>"bfh.exe"+0258FD70</Address>
      <Offsets>
        <Offset>0</Offset>
        <Offset>A0</Offset>
        <Offset>378</Offset>
      </Offsets>
    </CheatEntry>
    <CheatEntry>
      <ID>7</ID>
      <Description>"pointerscan result"</Description>
      <LastState Value="60" RealAddress="086D0090"/>
      <VariableType>Float</VariableType>
      <Address>"bfh.exe"+0258FD70</Address>
      <Offsets>
        <Offset>0</Offset>
        <Offset>60</Offset>
        <Offset>58</Offset>
        <Offset>378</Offset>
      </Offsets>
    </CheatEntry>
    <CheatEntry>
      <ID>8</ID>
      <Description>"pointerscan result"</Description>
      <LastState Value="60" RealAddress="086D0090"/>
      <VariableType>Float</VariableType>
      <Address>"bfh.exe"+028AEDE8</Address>
      <Offsets>
        <Offset>0</Offset>
        <Offset>A0</Offset>
        <Offset>228</Offset>
        <Offset>0</Offset>
      </Offsets>
    </CheatEntry>
    <CheatEntry>
      <ID>10</ID>
      <Description>"pointerscan result"</Description>
      <LastState Value="60" RealAddress="086D0090"/>
      <VariableType>Float</VariableType>
      <Address>"bfh.exe"+0258FD70</Address>
      <Offsets>
        <Offset>0</Offset>
        <Offset>A0</Offset>
        <Offset>378</Offset>

PS: I would be more than thankful an willing to donate for it to happen - I bought the game for SP only and it annoys me that I can´t play it withouth having to vomit after 20 minutes.

Hi HAYDEN. It's me again, but this time it will not be about Resident Evil 5.
It will be about Resident Evil 6. LOL

I have tried FWS and WSF but both had the same issue: HUD is not positioned correctly.

FWS plugin:

WSF plugin:

My native resolution is 2560x1080, ultra wide monitor.
Is there something i can do about it?
Thank you.

Hello Hayden,
do you plan to fix the Wolfenstein The Old Blood, please? The New Order works fine though. The problem with the old blood is:
"Could not find AspectFix injection point, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood may have updated to a version that is no longer supported.

Try restarting Wolfenstein: The Old Blood or selecting a different version and re-enable the fix."
Thank you.
PS: not a rat, I donated :)

ShroudedNight wrote:Hi, does Flawless Widescreen explicitly enable [with AdjustTokenPrivileges] SeDebugPriviledge on the security token used by c_HackTool when it calls OpenProcess? I ask because I've attempted to use FW against both Skyrim and Watch Dogs and both attempts were unsuccessful, yielding "Failed to open process, error code = 5", presumably ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED. This is despite running FW with elevated privileges.

My attempts to search for solutions specific to FW yielded anemic results (a couple unresolved posts searching for a solution either for Skyrim or for Spec Ops: The Line), while searching generally yielded this stackoverflow post which strongly suggests we're missing debug privileges... Thanks!

A little late, but I wanted to report that starting FlawlessWidescreen.exe using an elevated Process Explorer allowed it to properly hook TESV.exe and adjust my FOV settings.

I also took a look at the process privileges (using Process Explorer) both when using UAC elevation directly as well as using Process Explorer to run the process. UAC elevation results in the security token reporting SeDebugPrivilege as disabled whereas starting the process via Process Explorer reports that the SeDebugPrivilege is enabled. It looks like FlawlessWidescreen is simply using whatever access token it inherits directly without modifying it, and that user elevation doesn't actually enable the privilege, only make it available for subprocesses to enable as they need...

Hello!
Will fixes for Bioshock 1,2 Remastered be added to Flawless Widescreen?

I don't think there is a point working on them right now, as the developer promised to add 21:9 support and rework FOV. So when the update hits, a lot of the fix would have to be reworked. But that is only my opinion and don't quote me on that, cause I don't have a fix in Flawless Widescreen.... yet. :yawn:

Hi Hayden! Can you please update FW for the new Skyrim? After years away from this game, I wanna take a trip down memory lane again. The problem is memory lane is looking kinda "narrow" again.

I hope you're right! I picked up Skyrim Legendary Edition (Inc All Exp) about a year ago on some awesome Steam sale for $9.99. I never ended up playing it though. I seen that Skyrim Special Edition was added right under it in my Steam Library! So I decided to finally play it being I've been looking for a good RPG to play. Downloaded and Installed it only to find out that it doesn't support 2560x1080. All of the current fixes are not very good either. I settled for the 1920x1080 in the center of my screen. I have to throw up a black background and auto hide task bar to play it. Better than having the UI all screwed up in my opinion. (Manually setting to 2560x1080)

I really hope the creator of Flawless Widescreen comes back and makes a Skyrim SE fix, but I have my doubts as it appears he has not been on here since July. I guess we will see!

I still have no regrets going to Ultra Wide and I'll never go back to 16:9! My LG 29UM68-P is my second Ultra Wide, coming from a LG 25UM56-P. The 25" was way too small(narrow), but the 29" is perfect for my setup! It is the only reason I went with a XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition over an EVGA GTX 1060 FTW+. I have a small overclock on it at 80hz (up from 75hz) and increased the FreeSync range from 40-75hz to 32-80hz. Runs flawless, no issues!

Same! I don't want to donate now due to the age of the last update. I have my doubts that Skyrim SE support will be added. I've never used Flawless Widescreen or even heard of it. Skyrim SE is the first game I have played that didn't support my 3 month old LG 29UM68-P. I'm pretty confident that all games going forward will support 2560x1080 and 3440x1440 due to the increase in popularity with Ultra Wides.

I will happily donate $25 if Skyrim SE support is added. Only game I need it for. I did get Skyrim SE for "free" anyways. (Only paid $9.99 for Skyrim Legendary Edition too)

+1, I hope Hayden will fix Wolf Old Blood''s module. I've already donated before from Doom, but I'd be happy to donate again to get Wolf fixed...
