[quote]Adding this to the Display section in the ini files fixed the flickering shadows for me!

fSunShadowUpdateTime=0
fSunUpdateThreshold=2.0
fShadowBiasScale=0.6

Thanks for sharing this! It fixed my shadow issues too. Now all I need is AMD to release CF drivers so I can crank up the details.

Anyone who is getting this "shadow flicker" bug, please see this video. If this is what you are getting, fixing it as suggested by Spyle311 is a matter of editing your skyrim.ini (not the skyrim prefs one).

Actually neither work

Actually neither work perfectly for me.

with 0.4a - main menus is all in the center. the inventory menus are on the left screen but the 3d item is at the center and the other txt info is on the right hand screen. the loading screen is fine for the 3d model but the text is on the left hand of the screen and the compass is on the center. the skills menu shows the names clumped up on the left hand side. the esc menu and journal are fine. map is broken where it's all scrunched up, if i hit the hotkeys it just shifts to the left hand screen.

with 0.4b - main menu the bethesda icon is on the left hand screen and the new load & etc are on the right the emblem is center like it should be. the inventory, esc menu, journal and skills are all fine. the loading screen is all back to center but the text for level and description is not sized right so it looks all scrunched up. the map is just as broke with this ver as 0.4a is.

I will go back to 0.3, I had no problem there. Also everything for both of these were set to default nothing was changed, if you want me to try something specific HaYDeN feel free to ask.

Version 0.4A runs perfectly

Version 0.4A runs perfectly here, map is perfect, ppl with issues running version 0.4 (A and B) may go back to 0.3 of course, all the links can be found in the game's Detailed Report, under Multi-Monitor Specific Solution.

I myself have an issue with all the fixes (from 0.1 up to the current ones) but I assume it is just me as I haven't seen anyone else mention this. I am using a res of 6048x1080 (which is bezel corrected), causing text and some hud items to be slightly cut off on the sides. For example, when the word "autosaving" appears in the top left of the middle monitor, half of the letter "a" is cut off. Another example is the stamina bar on the lower right being slightly cut off on the right. I assume that I am doing something wrong, would anyone know what that is?

0.4A works flawless!

One thing I notice thou....If you read a scroll/note the UI moves on the left monitor. If I read a book the UI stays on center:) I think you forgot an offset there:) Is just a cosmetic thing:) and I wanted to tell you in case you are not aware.
Awesome job, as always!!!!

Best Regards,
Helifax

[quote][quote]Just installed ati's 11.11 - same issue. :
Running on a 6950, Win7 32 bit, 4 GB.

Run msconfig and shut down all non-Microsoft system services, reboot, make sure the services are still off, then try the game.

I dont think the fix has anything to do with your crash.

All non-MS services are now off. Removed userva via bcdedit. My setup is a basic Win7 install - no special HW, all other apps/games work without problems. Nothing overclocked.

The new fix is definitely triggering the crash as 0.1 was working well. 0.3 and both versions of 0.4 are crashing the TESV.EXE process the second they try to rescale the intro (menu). If I try to inject the patch after launching the game, it'll immediately crash TESV.EXE.

I'd love to enable some kind of crash dump process to help diagnose the issue I'm encountering...

Are you on Win7 32bit? I am on 64-bit, and I imagine 99% of this forum is as well, because of the need/desire to avoid the memory constraints of 32bit windows. Just a thought. Good luck.

HaYDeN wanted to give an update on the various versions on my system. (ATI 5870)

0.4A - Worked flawlessly except for the map which had all the icons bunched on the center screen.
0.4B - Worked flawlessly.

Both of course, minus the issues you had previously listed as known bugs (skill menu, etc).

EDIT: Completely redid my Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPref.ini back to default, applied the large address aware patch, and now neither A or B is working right.... investigating. (0.3 works great)

EDIT2:
1. Deleted TESV.exe and all ini files (both in my games/skyrim and in the actual skyrim steam folder)
2. Patched using steam.
3. Ran the launcher, created default ini files for Ultra /w No AA.
4. Updated my resolution in the default ini.
5. Ran the game WITHOUT a fix loaded then exited.
6. Ran the Large Address Aware patch.
7. Ran the game WITHOUT a fix loaded then exited.
8. Ran 0.4B of HaYDeNs fix and started the game, now it's back to working order! :)

Apparently something odd happened and I needed to do a full reset.

0.4B works for me as well.

0.4B works for me as well. 0.4A has the broken map with floating indicators. Honestly I played all weekend with 0.2 and it worked great :D

6048x1080 bezel corrected with 2x 6950's running 11.11 with Cap2 and RadeonPro with the Oblivion profile.

4.B works but FPS dropped considerably. I will continue with 3.0 but am absolutely impressed with 4.B
4.A has the bunched-up map markers.

Performance dropped considerably? Can you check the CPU usage of the process in task manager and confirm its 0%

Noticed Character Creation still zoomed in using the latest fix. Can't see my characters face. Any plans to fix this one? :) Thanks.

It is fixable, it is a value within about a 4096 byte allocation - it is extremely tedious to find, not sure the reward reflects the investment

TESV is @ 784428
UWv0.4B @1500
those are mem readings - CPU @ 0

might have been the area I was in or the fact that I was on top of a mountain and distance settings dropped it to really choppy lvls....?
Tried it again to get process info and it seems fine. I am thoroughly impressed and extremely grateful.

What kind of crossfire scaling are your getting? I tried all the combinations of drivers last week and none of them got more than 50% scaling, if they worked at all.

I recently installed my second crossfire card and skyrim didnt lock up, I wonder if there was a stealth patch?

4a worked great for me. The only problem was the mouse feel in the map. It was difficult to control the mouse. I wonder if 4b will solve that. Otherwise, I really like the FOV settings. I'll try 4b and make a report later. Thanks HaYDen.

I am running HaYDeN's latest fix with no issues. Only one Crash and that was when my server hapened to start a back up while I was playing. The books and scrolls all look great. I have been following this thread every day and it seems like the crossfire/eyefinity rigs are having most of the issues now. I would think there would be a driver patch soon/ I am starting to plan my next builds and I have used both AMD and NV but with what I am seeing I will prob. stay with NV this time around.
Are any of you going to be at CES?
Also, I donated and I second the comments that anyone who is benefiting from the admirable efforts here should give what they can.
