For those of you having problems with the computer terminals being off the screen, open up my documents/my games/fallout 3 and edit fallout.ini

edit fDefaultFOV=75.0000 to 150.0000 this changes the menus FOV not the game! so the pipboy, hacking terminals and lock picking screens appear how they should look.

This worked liked a charm for me at 3840x1024

edit - If you are just installing the game, I recall that fallout.ini did not appear until I ran the game once. And I hope this helps everyone! ^^

Wanted to thank you for this fix. I find the choice to go Ver- on the menus to be the better choice for normal widescreen modes. Obviously, for multi-monitor gaming it presents a problem. Thank you for the solution.

To fix the sniper scopes add this tag to your fallout.ini the end of [Display]

fScopeScissorAmount=0

You're Special book won't open in Fallout3

Friends,

I've been all over google looking for a solution to this problem. I'm running Fallout 3 on my box using a triple head 2 go. The game looks great. But I can't get very far. The "You're Special" book will not open - which has all of your character attributes - kind of important.

What is the solution to this please? I'm running the game at 3840 x 1024. Have not made any tweaks to the .ini config files.

Thanks!

Comrade,

Unfortunately Fallout 3 has a number of interface glitches in multi-monitor. Maybe you can try the Fallout 3 Configurator (see two posts above), or browse this thread for advice.
Did you try playing through that part at 1280x1024 ?

Hi! First post.

Just got fallout 3 running with my new eyefinity setup. Everything working well except one thing: the right inner bezel cuts right through part of the pip boy display, and makes it impossible to see certain things (like the weight of an item)

does this have something to do with bezel compensation? how do i fix?

thanks

Hi everyone... I never knew how difficult setting up this game for eyefinity would be. I've read this post and made the changes to the .ini files so that the game will work with my resolution of 5760x1080. Now I start the game and of course I am a baby, I leave open the gate and go towards the baby book and then I cannot DO ANYTHING. Any help would be appreciated? Is there maybe something that I cannot see because of my resolution? Is there any other changes that I need to make to the .ini files to make the game work perfectly?

Thanks in advance.

If anyone is having trouble getting the resolution changes to work, and you're using steam, make sure you launch the game from the "fallout3.exe" file in the steam game directories not through the steam launcher.

Mine was in "Steamsteamappscommonfallout 3 gotyfallout3.exe"
