Thanks a lot for this solution :)

Running 1920*1200,2AA,8AF now and looks/runs prefect.
With saving/loading the settings it just takes a few sec. to change res. Alltough you have to stay out of the ingame video settings as it will revert to 800*600.

Is it possible for some one with Programming Skills to programme
a automated search and Filterroutine which can do this automaticlly in the MainMEMORY.

NFS Load 800x600 set and then AltTab.
Memoryadresschanger load which modifies and filtering the Memoryadresses himself.

That would be cool its a shame for EA that a customer must do these kind of things.

actually, its even easier than I thought : you can usr ArtMoney to always force the entry to a specified value.
That way, I can change display settings, like geometry details without having to go back to ArtMoney : it stayed in 1680x1050.

You can download my own config file for ArtMoney here :
http://www.awax.org/images/WS/NeedforSpeed_MostWanted.amt
I don't garantee it'll work for you.

NFS MW Widescreen trainer

Post by jhonnypolak »

I have also created a trainer that does all the above stuff mentioned for you automatically. All you need to do is:

home.exetel.com.au/dyjakon/nfsmw_ws.exe

1 - run the game (NFS-MW)
2 - enter the game playing state, eg. resume your carrer,
3 - alt+tab back to the desktop
4 - run the trainer, press the patch button
5 - alt+tab back to the game and enjoy.

However still a lot of testing needs to be done, so if the trainer doesnt work for you, use the manual method.
Also use this at your own risk... yada yada ... bla bla ....
save any documents u have open before u try this app since it access the ram and may crash ur pc.

Enjoy peeps, enjoy :D

P.S. I noticed that sometimes the addressing of these values change when you launch NFS and restart ur PC. So im not exactly sure how to make this trainer work every single time.

Does this work with 1680x1050?

There are many trainer kits out there, TCK, TMK, MTK, etc. - I'm sure a trainer can be made.

yep i used TMK to make this

http://home.exetel.com.au/dyjakon/nfsmw_ws2.exe

thats a version supporting the resolution you gave.

I htink im gonna have to find a more advanced tool tho. Because this one can't dynamically map the places in the memory that it needs to patch. :P i don't really know how to solve this problem since its the first trainer i ever made :P

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE TRAINER FROM THE PREVIOUS POST.

It is in fact a Keylogger Virus. Thanks NOD-32.

If you can't help us, then don't try to make things even worst.

Dude, i used: Trainer Maker Kit
to make that trainer.

It's probably not a virus, but probably the method it uses to access the memory is making it being detected by Anti Virus software as a keylogger.

Either way, i'm taking it down since it doesnt "always" work.

Also I am trying to help you, you boob. I though up of using a memory accessing program to edit the resolution. So I'd rather you be greatful than rude.

I'm really sorry, jhonnypolak. I didn't mean to be rude with ya. It's just that there are so many ppl trying to take advantage of us today in the NET that I already get really mad when I see a potential threat.

Again, I'm really sorry. And thanks for the interest in trying to make the patch.

Sorry, for the previously broken images, my personnal server had lost his WiFi connection to my router and my playing rig is wired to the server, with an alias in the hosts file to direct me to the local IP of the server. So I can not spot if the server external connection is up or down.

Anyway, what was explained just above is exactly what should be done. Here is how I did it with ArtMoney.

1 - Start ArtMoney
2 - Start NFSMW
3 - Set res to 800x600
4 - Alt+tab to ArtMoney
5 - Using the left button, search for 800
6 - Alt+Tab to NFSMW
7 - Set res to 1024x768
8 - Alt+tab to ArtMoney
9 - Using the second button, filter for 1024
10 - you should 10 to 20 matchings fields, pass all of them to the right part of the screen using the arrow in the middle
11 - Using the left button again, search for 768.
12 - Alt+Tab to NFSMW
13 - Set res to 800x600
14 - Alt+Tab to ArtMoney
15 - Using the second button, filter for 600. Again, you'll get from 10 to 20 matching fields
17 - Pass them on the right side of the screen.
18 - Replace all 800 by 1680 and 600 by 1050 (or your prefered screen res)
19 - Alt+Tab to NFSMW
20 - Enjoy

Actually, the FOV is 100% correct. The streched UI is the only "prob" but you'll quickly get used to it. Actually, it feels weird at the beginning if you've played with the 4:3 version. I'm at 49% game completion so far and when switching to 16:10, I had trouble finding the info on the screen because it was to wide :) ... or just wider than I was used to.

When I played the demo, I played exclusively in 16:10 and had no prob playing.

Thanks!!! it works for me!!! I have just registered here to say thank you.
now i can run this game at 2560x1600 4xAA 16xAF with my 7800GTX 512.

Actually i have one question to you guys. how do you know that it has successfully changed to the resolution you wish? by looking at the in-game video menu the resolution options stayed the same at 640x480/800x600/1024x768 for me. other than by notifying the qualify difference in game how would u know resolution improved?

thanks again!

THe interface wont change much since EA is a poopie head but you definiatly can tell the res difference on the cars and such.
Heck also you know because your monitor doesnt change res when you alt tab back ;) Im loving it! My friends thought of me as a god after finding this then also getting them tons of cash with the same program lol. Cheaters but it ran great on a laptop at 1920X1200 with everything maxed

You can also fire the menu setup of your screen and most of them will display the signal parameters : height, width and refresh rate.
